I've read a few posts about the D giving $50 comp if you show your boarding pass within 24 hours of landing, is this correct, any airline? Coming Thursday, did they settle down their minimums back to $5 from the $25 they had over the grand opening?

Also, I've read the music is very loud, will the pit boss do anything if asked? I like to play table games, mostly craps and would like to communicate with the dealers.

I don`t see why the pit boss wouldn`t turn the volume down for the whole casino if you asked.:poke:

Not sure about the boarding pass deal if it is still active or not.

$5 BJ and it pays 3:2 as well.......win win win for me!

Played there Monday night, the music is loud, you can still talk to the person next to you, but no one else!

The craps tables were full and it seemed like everything was ok over there.

If you play cards, and get Claudia as your dealer, can you remind her that I still wanna marry her?!?!?!?!

This is from ACG promotions. It looks like only Spirit Airlines.
D Las Vegas: Now through Feb 28, 2013, D Las Vegas will be offering $50 free slot play or $50 matchplay to guests who present a Spirit Airlines boarding pass within 24 hours of arrival in Vegas.

    I hate Spirit Airlines......

I will have nothing to do with Spirit Airlines. There is not a promotion in the world that is worth giving them my business, IMHO.

Do you have to be a hotel guest to get the $50?

I'm curious if you hav to be a "D" hotel guest to get this promotion or can Spirit Airlines visitors also take advantage of this promotion?

Just got back (Tue - Sat), and I was pleased to find that the Ditz offers 10x odds on their craps tables, with $5 minimums. Caught a couple of decent rolls there. Played the Sigma Derby horse racing game machine too - what a riot!

On Friday afternoon, the music wasn't excessively loud (still pretty loud though). On Friday night, the music was cranked up, there were go-go dancers, and it was pretty much a party atmosphere. Fun for a while, but not ideal for playing - had to yell in order for the craps dealers to hear my bets. One of the dancers was on a pedestal directly behind me (literally a foot or two away from me). I was tempted to slip a dollar bill in her g-string, but thought better of it and made a hardway bet instead!

Thanks for the info! I went to the ACG site and couldn't find the details on this. I have a book for my upcoming trip, but do you know if there a coupon that I need to print out in addition?

Scroll down to ongoing October/November promotions and then scroll down to D Las Vegas:
    http://www.americancasinoguide.com/vegas-values/october-28-2012-vegas-values-report.html

There is not a coupon as it is an ongoing promotion.

although the music is loud downstairs and there are a few other complaints from people I felt I had to give the d a well deserved plug.

we stayed in a new room in july and the room was really nice and bed was fantastic.

a vast improvement over the backbreakers they had when it was fitz.

I'm super excited to check out the D! The first time I ever went to Vegas we made a trip downtown and played bj at the Fitz. It was like $3 I believe. Anyhow the dealer was showing 5 or 6 (this is in 2001) and I had a hand to split and double down on. The dealer pulled a 21 and I lost $35 in one hand. Now keep in mind I was 24 at the time and maybe had a budget of $50 per day. I swore up and down that the fitz was cheating. In my past few trips staying downtown I walked in that place once and didn't gamble.
