I just received an offer from the D for a 'Free Night with each purchased night' from Sunday - Thursday.

Do you have to pay the resort fee on top of using this offer? (for one or both nights)

Is there such thing as a quiet room at the D? (any room to request?)

I read that a higher floor may be quieter.

Is it worth the extra dollars to reserve a higher room or a premium corner room?

    Thanks!

There should not be a resort fee for that promotion for any of those nights, but as always call the desk with the promotion code to confirm there is none because, as always with resort fees, we have to check and recheck and nothing is ever simple or transparent.

Higher rooms are quieter as well as those not facing toward the Freemont Experience, but some noise can come even then. I had an odd noise on my last visit that no one could identify; it may have been an anti-bird noise device in the parking lot across the way. I could not hear it with the fan on, but I missed the absolute quiet I had been having for writing in the morning. Other guests above me did not hear it.

Remember that the noise of the downstairs casino can be avoided on the walk OUT of the D by using the back door. A fairly quiet way IN is to take the escalator to the Vue Bar and then catch the elevator on the 2nd floor and up to your room.
And gambling can be average casino noise if you just gamble on the second floor.
Also, breakfast is on the 2nd floor, so there is no noise in that place. Generally, you can get a coupon with a booking for money off at the Café.
I wrote a good bit of detail in my hotel post from my last trip. You can read it here:

Just scroll past Orleans, Trump Towers, and El Cortez Cabana to see the D and Four Queens notes. I had the same 2 for 1 offer you mention when I went.
