    My Trip Report

Ok, I opened my email this morning, and it contained a copy of our hotel confirmation at the Monte Carlo, forwarded from Eddie:

'All You Can Drink' Accomodations. [IMG] Yep--these are my travelling buddies.

I can't wait to get there. I got three months to save, so I'm gonna take a PHAT bankroll with me--gonna need it--staying on the strip.

Also, I think I'm going to get a new digital camera before then, too, so hopefully there will be LOTS of photo evidence. It will be the Mother of All Trip Reports II.

    Mikey-

Chill up my spine and a tear in my eye...

Feel like a kid sent to bed on Christmas eve, except Christmas is 90 days away.

Think I'm staying at the Tropicana. Wifey said to forgo the expensive room so there is more loot to gamble with. With a quote like that, she's gotta be up to something. Time to start watching the credit card cause I think its gonna be big.

    Hey Bazootch...

We considered the Tropicana, also, but Eddie talked us out of it. I definitely want to visit there, maybe gamble a bit, and check out the pool and the casino legends museum before the place gets imploded and rebuilt into something more befitting their location...

(I heard that they've stopped booking meetings and conventions there after next June... )

Oh yeah, and I'm definitely gonna check out the Follies, too... [IMG]

Do the free spin outside Trop & you might win tix to Follies. Bazootch--is your wife coming to Vegas with you for the July trip, or is she spending your money on something else? [IMG]

"All you can drink"? [IMG] Remember at Monte Carlo you can request a fridge for your room--no charge. I made the request when I made the reservation last year, but our friends just asked when they got in and we both got them. Far better than filling up the tub with ice each day ;) Not sure yet if we'll make a pilgrimage off-strip to buy alcohol & diet coke like we did last year or not....

This was my birthday present :D I love my husband!!!

    Mikey,
Get a Canon Powershot A40 if you can still find one, or the A60, both are 2MP and take excellent pics and cheap.

I am so looking foward to this trip report, LOL....After the last. You need to make a wrong turn, or call your friends from the Venition and have them meet up. That would make the BEST trip report.

I'm pretty sure its something else. She hasn't worked since #3 was born in September, and am hoping she hasn't discovered QVC.

She is definately coming on the trip. Yesterday she explained she couldn't wait to cut loose and not have to worry about the youngin's. Look out Vegas, Wendy is planning a bender...

Oh yeah, we bought a Fuji finepix 2650 at Christmas. About 200 bucks and fairly impressive. There are alot of questions on digital cameras, so do your research!

Glad that the wife is coming to paint the town red with you, Bazootch! Maybe she wants to do a spa day or something, that's why you have to stay at the Trop ;)

I wanted a digital camera I could stick in my pocket. Got one! So darn cute, and the pictures are good too.

I got the Canon Power Shot S200 for my birthday last year and love it, the only thing that sucks is it takes a special battery & charger. We lost my charger in the move and it cost $60 to get a new one.

Digital is the way to go when your traveling. I am a freelance photographer, and I use my digital more than my film based camera. Oh, and mine uses AA batteries, LOL.

I'm one of the many on the late July crew also(July 23- August 2)- my husband and I are staying at the Rio for two nights and then at Fairfield Grand Desert for a week. This week was a wedding gift, and we're using it to celebrate our one-year anniversary!
I haven't seen any mention of the Grand Desert anywhere- probably because it's a timeshare resort and it's very new. You can purchase 3-night and 7-night stays there, though, I think. They are great for the longer stay because they have washer dryers, jacuzzi, full kitchen and separate living room and bedroom(s) in each unit. I'll let you know how it is!
