I see a lot of threads, mainly in response with what people coin-in and what they get, but it seems hard to cobble a coherent response so I thought I would create this thread trying to get a somewhat consistent response.

I am 32 and though almost exclusively a table player (maybe its age starting to set in) I started moving over to VP this last trip.

We can start a separate thread for table games.

So these are the questions I'm looking to have answered:
    Hotel?
What is your average daily coin-in?
    Slots or VP?
Typical Comp?(RFB, RFL, Amount allowance, etc)

I'm kind of interested to see if, for example, there are 2 people that reply at Caesars with 40,000 coin-in on VP that both get free rooms but one but one gets $400 promo whereas the other gets $150 promo.

I will reply with my stats for my last trip because its the first trip where I tracked said items

    1. Caesars
    2. $25,000 coin-in, 1-day
    3. VP 9/6JOB primarily
    4. Nothing yet as I only played 1.5 weeks ago.

Basically every way you described yourself and your play describes me. It's like I could've written your post.

But because of my additional table play I have no way to tell what my comps would be with just my VP coin-in.

These threads don't work out because they are overall pretty useless.

Some people are over comped, some are under comped... some will appear over comped, some will appear under comped.

Plus overall the info doesn't mean much in the end: if your play turns out to be the same as mine and I am getting certain comps and they are better than what you are getting, what are you going to do? Go and demand to get the same as me? Just like it and lump it?

Also you are asking people for information where there are a few problems:

First, its not private. Some people won't want to disclose publicly what they play but then others will pretty much just make up stuff because they don't want to be one of the bottom percentage of players or don't want to appear to be so grossly under comped.

Then you have the problem of the numbers themselves: how specific are people going to be? Are they going to provide you with every detail? A proper breakdown?

Like if somebody says "I gamble $5,000 coin in at NYNY, which is where I stay" is that all their play? What if they gamble more at MGM Grand and Monte Carlo, two properties right next door? Do they take that in to account? And what about MLife itself here - they've modified the program over a year ago so that play at a specific hotel is worth more than play at a bunch of different hotels. IE: playing $10,000 through at MGM Grand is worth more towards comps from MGM Grand than playing $2,000 through at MGM Grand, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

And after all that the one thing all this doesn't take in to account is extra information. You are just looking at the basic raw numbers and trying to make sense of things from that angle, whereas the loyalty programs will look at any and all information they can get their hands on, things like:
    Age
    Sex
    Race
    What demographic you are in
    Income
    Income potential
    Where you live
    Frequency of trips
    Duration of trips
    Past loyalty
    Potential for future loyalty
    What comps you need
    What comps you use

Its just that the problem I see here is that you are trying to really simplify something that isn't that simple.

I do. I know what I get comped for my play level. I was just trying to solve what I think I see as a common problem on the board, which was to have a thread act like a clearinghouse.

The problem is the people that don't know this number already aren't going to read through a multi page thread to find the exact person(which probably doesn't exist. Even if they find something close, they will still just ask if they are being comped well. The majority of people I expected to simply post there stats and ask and completely ignore the rest of the thread.

Comps are extremely difficult to track well. Most people don't ask what their average bet was. I might think I was playing $50/hand but the pit boss didn't think so. Even on slots I'm guessing there will be a different formula for those playing penny slots vs dollar slots. So even earning 10k tier credits may be drastically different from one slot player to another.

I didn't know there would be so much blowback on this. Admin has my permission to sink this thread.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. A few new threads seem to have some snippy responses today.

I think it is a good idea if someone wanted to organize it. I'm just not sure how often a new person would read through 40 pages of responses and those are the people that keep creating new threads. I love compilations like this, I just need the info to be easy to get whenever needed.

My earlier response was a bit out of place. Sorry.

As to your goal, the difficult part is so few people can provide an accurate coin in number in the first place. Over the past year or so, I have seen many conversations that started out with the poster sure they knew what their coin in was, but after a few followup questions, it became clear they were way out of wack.

Good idea you have, but not sure where it will go. I think there are so many variables like number of days, overall avg theo, low play days, repeat visits, single day vs multiple day, visits to other locations, mood of CET or MGM marketing whiz kids.

I agree that it is almost impossible to pinpoint but I think it would still be benificial if people posted what corporate offers they received with their style of play. The higher level players already laid out a pretty good framework for what to expect once a host is involved but I haven't seen much for the average player that doesn't qualify for a host but still plays enough to get free offers in the mail.

For example, I go to Vegas about 3 to 4 times a year from the Midwest. I generally bring $5,000 to $6,000 per 4 day trip. When I play table games I only buy in for $300 on average. My first bet is almost always table minimum when I play BJ or Baccarat, mainly at $25 tables. When I play craps it is almost always at a $10 with $34 inside to start. I play probably 6 to 8 hours a day but I bounce around from casino to casino. When I play slots I only put a $20 bill in 10 to 20 times in a day on mainly penny slots and some reel slots so maybe $1,000 to $2,000 coin in a day max.

    Here are my current offers:

Caesars (Platinum) - 2 free nights where available otherwise calendar rates, $5 resort credit, 2/1 show tickets. March - July.

MGM (Pearl) - Nothing. I played at a $25 min Bac table at Aria and Mandalay Bay last trip about 4 hours each. Racked up 10,000 points at the Lion's Share machine at MGM in about 45 minutes so about $3,400 coin in. None of this play or my play listed above was enough to generate a corporate offer. (As in 16+ years and never got a mailer from MGM).

Station Casinos (Gold) - 2 Free nights Red Rock or GVR Sun-Thurs $69 Friday & Saturday. 3 free nights at other properties. 2 free buffet coupons with offer.

Wynn - Buy 1 night at $109 get a second night free(resort fees not free). I played $100 minimum table last trip and lost the first 10 hands in a row and left. I'm guessing this was just some type of feeler offer from them.

Gold Coast, Silverton - 3 Free nights whenever. free buffet coupons (Very minimal play).

I get that someone may get lucky at a slot machine and rack up a ton of points or may get hot a a table and their average bet may shoot up but generally speaking we all pretty much know how we play per trip and what we get because of it. I would love to hear what other types of offers are available to anyone who is willing to share.

I personally want to shed Caesars completely and start getting MGM offers but have never gotten one:cry: After reading this forum I realize that my main problems are the casino hopping and being rated at table minimum because of my first bet even though my bets may vary 10 x 15 times minimum at times. I would love to hear what someone with my level of play gets at various MGM properties who plays at one casino and doesn't hop around.
