I'm setup for the Cal in March and it included a free four day meal book for two. Has anyone ever used these? I'm curious what they are good for and if it's truly free and restrictions they might have.

The meal coupons are good for the daily specials in the market street cafe. Additionally, you can use them for other items there and at other Boyd-operated places (ie 777 in Main Street ) that have a special logo next to them on the menu. The menus are available on the casinos' websites.

My offers used to include a meal book, too. The options are fairly limited, but you can eat reasonably well for free most of the time and save your $$ or slot comp points for a nice dinner or two.

The coupon used to cover the steak and eggs for breakfast at the Cal, which was always a decent meal. And another good play was to use a coupon plus $1 for the MSS breakfast buffet.

They charged me $3 for the breakfast upgrade a few weeks ago.

I've used these coupons at the Cal Snack Shop/Grill, the Cal Coffee Shop, and the 777 Brew Pub. Look for the items with the Palm Trees next to them on the menu. I think most of the daily specials at the Cal Coffee Shop are eligible for the coupons.

Yeah the menu offered mostly the specials on the free meal book. I didn't expect too much so it'll be a good way to save a few bucks and splurge on a nice meal later.

As mentioned, you can also pay a small upcharge and get other items. I'd recommend the coupon plus a couple bucks for the oxtail soup at the cal :)
