We got back Tuesday from a few days in Reno and one in Las Vegas. I've read a number of times on LVMB about people using $2 bills as tips. This trip I remembered to pick up 25 of them at the bank before we left. I can confirm what others have said - they are a hit with the cocktail servers and consequently seemed to draw better service. We typically tip $1 a drink anyway, so when my wife and I order it's generally a couple of dollar bills or $1 chips. Since no one uses $2 bills, the ones from the bank were brand new. Most times I gave one to a server she'd comment on it, generally that she liked them. I always joked that I'd just printed them that morning. Using them seemed to distinguish us in their minds, and our cocktail service overall was better than I can ever recall. I'll definitely be doing it from now on.
