Pleasantly surprised by these really nice comps (for a low roller) and great customer service!

Background: Always stay at CET properties for the free rooms & no resort fee (Diamond). My “locals” are Reno & Tahoe Harrah’s but I also play around at other casinos there.

On my last Vegas trip in January played a bit at Aria & Bellagio and saw MJ1 show at Mandalay Bay. After the show I went to the Mlife desk to ask about points earned for the show tickets purchased. The nice gentleman answered my questions & asked if we were staying there. He then offered me $100 credit to use at any Mlife restaurant. He said once we decide where we want to dine, go to Mlife desk at that property & they will apply the credit. So sis & I decided to go to Julian Serrano and when we went to the Mlife desk at Aria we decided to ask if sister also qualified for the credit. Sure enough- also gave her $100 credit! VERRRRYY NICE!
(We really pigged out at Julian Serrano & had some nice wine too! :licklips::lick lips:)

I would like to know what we did to earn these “out of the blue” dining offers from the Mlife desk? Was it our losing ways at the slot machines?? This is not how CET rolls, so it surprised me.

Surprise #2: Every so often I get offers from Cosmopolitan for 2 free midweek nights. When I got the latest offer I thought maybe I would try to combine a stay there with CET room offer on my next trip. To my surprise the reservation agent said I see you have a Tahoe Tropicana Alliance Platinum offer for 3 nights (any days), $100 FP or casino credit & airport limo transportation-good through 12/31/16!

So here’s the deal: Montbleau (in Lake Tahoe) & Cosmopolitan have some association that I have not quite figured out (anyone here know?). I recall hearing someone say that their play at Montbleau got them a nice offer from Cosmopolitan. They have different cards & reward programs- Trop Advantage & Identity.

I usually give a little play to Montbleau, (maybe run $100-$300 through a few times a year). So it would not be my low play that got me the offer. Then way back in the recesses of my brain I recalled a weekend last year when I was at Montbleau & they had a “match your tier” deal. Showed them my CET Diamond card….I guess I got bumped up high enough to get this great offer from Cosmopolitan.

Tip: If you ever visit Lake Tahoe and you are a Diamond low roller like me, check out Montbleau and ask if they have any tier matching offer!

what a nice surprise on the comp! Hey a $100 saved an diner is a $100 more to play with. I know casinos will throw out feeler offers for players at times. They will comp you more than you have earned at there property to get you there and then they will see if it paid off for them once you stay.

Years ago we would always end our trip by going to the Mlife booth at MGM and see if we qualified for a food comp at the Studio Cafe. Every time we would get at least $80 bucks comp put on our card. I was always surprised because most of our play was Planet Hollywood with only some play in the evening at MGM after watching some basketball at the MGM sports book. This trip we are spending our last three nights at MGM so I will see if it still works.

The folks who run the AC Tropicana (unaffiliated with Vegas Tropicana) have a partnership with Cosmo and own Montbleau. Cross-casino collaboration, as the AC Trop group does not own LV property (at least, TMK).
