I've been googling again - looking for alternative places to go and found Texas Station.

We're thinking of going on a Saturday when the classic rock band is on (Yellow Brick Road), anyone know if they'e any good?

Also may be tempted by the buffet while we're there - obviously you get what you pay for and it's $9.99! Has anyone tried it?

We'll probably get a cab from Excalibur unless anyone has any better ideas. :)

    Cheers,

    Justin

Yellow Brick Road is worth a look. High energy show. The buffet is worth $9.99 but not much more.

We've never done the dinner buffet, but enjoy the breakfast and lunch because of the Tex-Mex offerings. Best chili bar of any buffet in town.
Definitely check out Yellow Brick Road.
The cab ride from Excalibur to Texas Station will be very expensive. Probably cheaper to rent a car for the day.

    Thanks for the tips :)

We are renting a car anyway, but obviously can't have a drink if I'm driving.

    Texas Station

Try Austins Steakhouse We really enjoyed it last year . The casino is nice with decent VP paytables and a good selection of slots .

Yellow Brick Road is hugely popular and has a large crowd of groupies that follow the band all over town. If you like their type of music, you should enjoy it.

I wouldn't eat in the buffet at Texas. I agree Austin's is good, but there are other good steakhouses in town that are in better neighborhoods than Texas.

Not worth the cab fare. From Excalibur, I'd go someplace nicer, like the M, or Southpoint, Sunset Station, or Green Valley Ranch.

I agree with Sue. Texas is okay, I liked their buffet, but that was at least 5 or 6 years ago that I had it. The theme is carried out well. Austin's is delicious, but there are a lot of places to get a good steak. The neighborhood is a little rough, but they have a lot of security, and it shows. Bottom line, would I stop in for a couple hours, sure. Would I spend $30 on a cab to take me out there? No way.
