What looks different? There are two ways to display an image on the board. You can upload an attachment, like you did there. Or you an insert an image inline in your posts.

To insert an image inline, you go to the little picture of the tree in the header of the reply box, click on it, click on "from computer" and select the image, then click upload. It will insert some code into the board that looks like this (with spaces and quotes removed)

    "[" ATTACH=CONFIG "]" some number "[" /ATTACH "]"

    The result is this:

The new software will initially handle image uploads and attachment a little different, but IMO easier. Once we are up and running on the new software, my next project is a media utility to manage photo and video uploads to the board. It's kind of exciting.

Ahh, I see. I was using the "Manage Attachment" button and NOT putting them inline. It seems the board "Messes" with them and reduces them in size?

Check the original and after sizes.

The board does reduce it. When you hover your mouse over it it does *seem* to enlarge it to its original size.

That's how it's supposed to work on this software. Like I said in my PM, things will be different when we get moved over to the new software. :)

Sonya will you be posting here when the new software is up?
I'll wait until it is to experiment.

Absolutely! You'll know when the downtime is scheduled to make the move.

I just finished writing a User Guide to help you all with the new features. Photos are so MUCH easier on the new software.

Essentially when you are replying to a message or starting a thread, there's a button under the reply box that says "Upload a file". You select an image from your computer or device and choose thumbnail or full size and voila! Picture in a thread.
