I remember playing VP there about 4 trips back. Received scratch tickets for 4 of a kind.

Do they still have this promotion and if so what machines does it include?

Any video poker games with full coin-in and a players card inserted.

Just a refresher, if you're playing at the bar alert the bartender and don't play the game off until you get the card.

If playing on the floor, hit the attendant button and again don't play it off until you get the card.

One other thing has changed. The bartenders can no longer accept scratch cards as tips.

And it's 4 of a kind or better. So you can get a scratch ticket for a straight flush or a royal flush as well.

Cash value. Usually $2 but sometimes $3, $5 or even $100. My wife got a $100 one about 5 years ago. About every ~18 months a $5,000 one is scratched.

To redeem, you take them to the cashier, but it must be within 24 hrs.

Also ... one of the new rules is that the floor attendant will ask you to do the actual scratch off in their presence.

I believe the majority of scratch-offs is for $2 for quarter and higher vp machines. For nickel vp machines, the majority is $1. Apparently, they use two different sets of cards.

I forgot that detail since I only play quarters or higher. You are correct, two sets of cards and the nickel cards are red, .25 & up green.

I'm assuming these scratch cards are good for every game? Even 10/7 DB? I might bother to play that next month, but there is 9/6 JoB at the bar...:evillaugh This is a pretty good deal if you play quarters. Even if the average value of the ticket is only $2.50, that still adds about 0.5% to the game's return if you always redeem them. Adds even more to nickels, percentage wise (about 1.25% if the avg. ticket is $1.25).

I never have been to MSS yet; I apparently have been missing out.

They are issued for both 9/6 JOB and 10/7 DB. They are not issued for a 4OAK using one + wild cards. Just put the slot attendant light on and they will come buy check the screen, process and issue the scratch ticket. IIRC you need a Boyd players card inserted. I cash them all at the same time when it's time to leave.

Great beer on tap also adds to the EV if you can continue pressing the buttons correctly.

You must have a Player's Card and be using it. I keep a second one handy so I don't have to pull it out.

If you are playing multiple line games, you must play max on All of them.

You must cash the cards in within the 24 hours as specified on the back of the card. No exceptions.

Notice how much the folks who deliver the cards have to write. Failure to watch you or miss a detail can cost them a day or more of work.

All this rigmarole was designed by the gaming board so the employees wouldn't cheat.
