We have been going to Vegas for years. Have always stayed at M Life properties. Over the past 3 years we have been staying at the Bellagio and city center resorts. We would like to stay at some different hotels that are nice, with a great pool and have an old Vegas vibe. Yes ,I do understand the complete difference in properties. I was curious about the Flamingo. The newer rooms look nice and so does the pool. Would anyone please give us some information about their experience. Thanks!

The pool is one of my favourite in Vegas, but I believe it's either closed or not very exciting in the winter months. I stayed at the Flamingo only once and it was in 2009. It was a typical hotel, not great but I didn't have any complaints either. With that said, if you're used to staying at Aria and Bellagio, expect the Flamingo to be much less than what you're used to.

You will hate it based on your stay history IMO

I would say don't do it

If you typically stay at Bellagio you will be SORELY disappointed....

We typically stay at Harrahs & Ballys; have stayed at Flamingo once & probably won't be back. The GO room was kinda cool, but a bit small. But we ran into disgusting hallway cleanliness issues that took days to be resolved, if at all. DH, who is NOT a clean freak (neither am I...he's less...) won't stay again. I think even if it was our only comped room he would rather pay elsewhere!

The pool is nice but nearly always very crowded. Personally I find Bellagio pool to be as nice (but different) but much more relaxing. I think Mirage has the most similar pool area to Flamingo & I like it MUCH better.

I do agree that if you are accustomed to the Bellagio, you may be disappointed with the Flamingo. (And I am a Flamingo fan.)
