Just looking at this place a bit.

The wine tower seems really neat.

They have a happy hour, but it's for the lounge only - I imagine the wine tower is in the restaurant?

Have you ever been, what was it like?

I was there a few years ago. The wine tower is cool. However, I did not get see anyone use it.

I had a steak. They put some garlic topping on it which kind of ruined the steak. Overall, the food was not the best, but the restaurant itself was nice.

If you are going there to eat steak, I would recommend somewhere else. There are way better steak houses for the same cost in vegas.

I like it. And if you're interested in the lounge happy hour, it is inside the restaurant and you can see the wine tower there as well.

I took a client there a couple months ago and had the crusted halibut... I thought it was one of the better pieces of fish I'd had in awhile. It's a Charlie Palmer joint, so steaks ought to be fine... btw... you can put ALL the garlic you want on my steak!

We had our wedding dinner at Aureole so it will always hold a special place in our hearts. That was 12 years ago and we went back a couple years ago. As a reflection of Mandalay Bay in general, things are a little less swanky than 12 years ago. It's pricey. It's a little more gourmet than what we're comfortable with so we don't go back every year.

Absolutely love Aureole, the only places we have dine in Vegas that were definitely better were Robuchon, Savoy and La Ataliere, all which cost far more BTW. The service is top notch, the food prep is what you would expect from a 4 Diamond and Michelin starred restaurant and a plus for me is they have a beer menu equally as top quality as the wine selection, not quite Public House at Venetian but damn good. Ask for the Swan court seating if available but even if not visit the court, have a drink or two and enjoy the peace and solitude.

The only different thing about Aureole is the Wine Angels.

You can view them from the bar or the restaurant. They attach themselves to two cables and use a winch to go up to the wines they need.

Wine selection is good, but there are better in Las Vegas.

Food is good, but there is better in Las Vegas.

View is so-so, there are a lot better views in Las Vegas.

The only difference maker is the Wine Tower.

I would go and definitely sit in the bar and watch. You can also view the wine tower as you enter, and you will walk down the stairs/elevator to the bar.
