Need some info from anyone who had stayed at this hotel. I'm use to staying at The Mirage, Monte Carlo, and Planet Hollywood. I know the Excalibur is not in the same league as the above mentioned. However I have found a great deal on this hotel. Can anyone help me with how the rooms are. Are there rooms to avoid? Is there a specific tower or room type to book? Also any cheap eats at this hotel? Thanks for help!!

There's a huge thread about this already. It's very recent.

Its a place to stay. Ive stayed there several times and the trip I got back from last night was the last straw. I was upgraded to a widescreen view room with Strip view for free and it was ok. The old rooms flat out suck, if you stay there be sure to get a remodeled room and some sort of upgrade.

The widescreen room I stayed in was just fine. I would stay away from any non-remodeled basic rooms though.

I'd make sure to get a widescreen. It's nothing fancy... I do it sometimes if everything else is really expensive. I've noticed the rooms always were really clean there. Even though they are old.

The casino itself is pretty much a dump, but you can always go elsewhere to gamble and hangout.

If the price isn't much more, I'd go with Luxor, in my opinion, at least the property is nice.
