Stayed at the Mirage this past weekend. Unfortunately, this ended up being an unintentional short-play trip. I had my family (includes 3 young kids) and family friends along for the trip. As usual, when I go to Vegas with my family, the only gambling time I have is after the kids go to bed. Don't know if it is because I am getting older or just exhausted from the heat during the day with the kids, but I just did not have the stamina to stay awake to gamble as much as I like to. For the 3 nights I was there, I only managed to do the following:

    Tables:
    4.23 hours
    $214 average
    1341 theo

Somehow, they also have me down for 6,640 coin in on slots, but I am fairly certain I did not play that amount...at least i hope i did not...lol. Although, there was this $1 machine by the tables that I was messing around with a couple times and managed to rack up over 100 points each time and walking away with my initial $100 investment.

At any rate, most of my table play was on UTH, so I am curious how the theo compares with those of you who play primarily BJ.

How much were you generally betting on ante/blind/trips? What was the table minimum?

    Table min was $5, then $10. My Ante was a mix of $50 and $75. Trips was a mix of $0, $15, $25, $75, and $100.

that theo seems to be, almost 1.5x higher of that compared to 6 shoe black jack.

I'm really starting to wonder about how well tables are really rated. I had never looked at my year end statement before, but I looked at 2013's for total rewards the other day and it said I won like $500 on tables, when in reality, I lost a couple thousand.

Interesting, I usually have the opposite with MGM, they often have me down as losing more than I actually did (winning less than I did). A big chunk of this is probably due to my habit of squirreling away black chips as a sort of loss limit enforcement mechanism, but even when I don't do that they tend to overestimate my loss/underestimate my win.

That is pretty lucky of you, especially with ratholing black chips. Casinos usually keep track of who has how many black chips (and higher) at any given time. Every time the pit critter comes by the table, they are taking a mental count of who has how many of the blacks and up and then updating it in the computer. If the error is in your favor, keep at it, but going to greens may be better. I quit ratholing a long time ago as a pocket full of greens at the end of a session looks pretty awkward when walking away from the tables.

I have seen individuals color up numerous times and the pit boss call them on their pocketed chips.
Saw a pit boss in AC tell a player he had 8 "blacks" in his pocket. the guy turned red and put the rest on the table. He hhad 9.

I never understood why pocketing chips was/is frowned upon?

I rat-hole purple and orange at my local...I don't try to hide it. I color my rack up into those colors and drop them in my pocket
