Fifteen hours flying time,oh joy,the things l do to just enjoy Vegas time with you Americans.Three hours from TOWNSVILLE to Sydney prior to that, overnight stay there. Then there is LAX lo LAS to contend with. This is going to happen in November.Starting to learn Craps theory at the moment, also soft doubling which does not happen here. What a compliment to you people that make me feel so welcome when l'm there that l am prepared to go to all this bother just to be there to gamble with you.So if you hear a loud mouth Aussie at the Craps / Blackjack tables in November, feel free to correct my novice mistakes, advice always welcome when it comes to beating the Casinos. Can't wait.

Hey, I just got back from Vegas. It's 16.5 hours (approx) non stop to LAX + 3 hours layover + 1.15 hours to LAS. I agree with you on how welcome we are made to feel that we go all the way there. I do not gamble and just completed a Trip Report on here. I've been to Vegas 3 times and all the times Solo. Look forward to hear about your trip.

Man oh man I don't know how you can do it. Our flight is ~3.5 hours and after that my butt hurts and I can't wait for them to open the door for me to get out and stretch my legs.

I've always wanted to visit Australia, but just don't think I could handle the flight. Hell, 6 hours to Hawaii was too much for me.

It's not as bad as you think. When the flight is ~15 hours, you can get on the plane, have dinner and drinks, sack out for 8 hours... then wake up and have breakfast while you are still on the plane! It's the jet lag that kills you.

For me too, its not the flight time that kills even though I'm not a tv person and I can't sleep on a plane. It's the jet lag and the immigration and security nightmare that kills.

If you buy alcohol at the dutyfree and carrying in by hand, make sure the pack is sealed. I had to throw away a bottle of JW Black. Alternatively, you can buy it in Vegas not going to be too different as i compared.
