So I just saw my JUNE mailer (on BConnected.com) and it shows I went to the "E" Level (4 nights, rather than 3)
    Sweeeet!
Brenda Palmer said with two more "decent" trips, I'll be eligible for a Silver Card.
    That is all

Makes me laugh thinking about the "Modern Family" Vegas episode this last week when Jay found out there was yet another higher level to obtain. "Damn it!" :evillaugh

That's great, I have a gold card now for about 2 years, and let me tell you , it spoils you, you might also ask her what else comes with the silver, someone told me you are eligible for the suites, I get one whenever we go with the gold card, but I heard a lady checking in and asking if it was available since she had silver, and they said they would check...Enjoy your silver card....eat, eat, eat, drink, drink, drink....

Benefits does not include an upgrade (if available) for Silver card holders, but there is no harm in asking. I was upgraded once at the Fremont and offered once at MSS. We have lost our Silver status, but the Aloha coupon book was an adequate replacement.

yes, im happy with the book to..are the cards issued just on your play? I got the gold card before making emerald. I always wondered how you get it.. we go about 5 times a year, and im not a big gambler, is it how long you play? I wish I could go more, but as you know the cost of flights from Hawaii is crazy.

Tim, Myers67 asked a legitimate question. I too would like to know more about the silver card. But that's o.k., I'll go ahead and ask the casino how to go about getting one of those cards.

    Enjoy your card....

Hi Tim. I got a mailer for 3free nights and a lot tournament with a 4 k top prize at Mss/cal. Oddly enough my wife is the slot player. I do recall buying in with my entire bankroll at their craps table and winning arund 200. Wife on other hand got no offer in the mail.

I assume for comp purposes is you buy in large you'll get good comps in the mail.

I like Mss a good deal, other than their too long craps table ( I like to drive out to the hacienda becaue they have a short table that they put a divider in so you are ole throwing the dice 4 feet. Good for dice setters.

I was told the Gold and Emerald are not directly related, but obviously if you are Emerald, you are gambling enough to earn the Gold Card. So, go figure.:confused2:

I was also told if you are Emerald at MSS, you pretty much can count on a suite. My words: "unless your host fu*ks up and doesn't book it until 2 days before arrival.:grrr:

But, the fact that that they only have 16 suites at MSS, there still must be some kind of pecking order on who gets them on a full weekend if 17 or more Emeralds show up?

Tim: When you get that Silver, it is good at all the Boyd run restaurants except Redwood & Second St Grill. It's been a while since I had one, but I think it is good at Pasta Pirate also. It used to also exclude the Pullman, sadly gone for years now. Our favorite place.

At downtown Boyd properties there are essentially three levels of comps for food, well four if you count going to a host and begging.

A food coupon book. IIRC, 4, $25 coupons

Silver Card: Good at all the Boyd run restaurants downtown, but excludes the Redwood & Second St Grill. Just flash the card and tip. iirc, there is a limit per meal of 1 appy, 1 entree & desert. Maybe 2 drink limit?

Gold: Good at any Boyd run restaurant. Again just flash and tip the server. There are limits here also, but my wife and I dining alone have never hit them. We did have a party of 5 one time, dinner and 3 bottles of wine. That one cost me something, but I don't remember how much. ~$120?

We eat at Redwood & Second St a lot and the servers know us and we tip well. So if we invite guests, the servers usually can do wonders to massage the bill in our favor.

Thanks, Joe. I only know of the Aloha Coupon book they give out to Vacations Hawaii travelers and random 20 to 75 dollar food vouchers we get from time to time, depending on our play, I guess. I only have a 20 dollar food voucher I can redeem on my upcoming trip. Better than nothing, though!

It was just a little humor...i figured Joe or someone more adept at MSS would answer better than I could...
Offer level "G" is two $20 dining credits, and if you ask you can get your offer LOWERED to that (I did for this upcoming trip, so wife and I have four $20 dining credits)
What it sounds like is "G" is what you want, until you hit a "Silver" card...
So, either have a daily average of 1000 TC, or have a daily average of 8000, cuz anything between pretty much sucks...

I'm a little sow when it comes to comps. What does this mean in terms of actual play? I play quarter level JoB. I'm not trying to chase comps but if I could focus my gambling a bit and get some comps at a place that I like then that would be good. Also, do I have to ask for comps or just make sure I use my players card.

Thanks! Looking forward to drinking some 777 beer and playing at the Boar Bar!

So is this code B,M or F? B0614MF

At one point, I had comped food anywhere at Fremont (including Second Street), but I don't like their rooms/tiny bathrooms and moved to The Cal. I never was issued a "gold or silver card", but my offers included dining for 2 at any Fremont restaurant.

I moved to The Cal because I like their rooms, casino and dining better (and I've met and got to know their great employees).

    F. The "B" denotes TheCal as your hotel.
