SW will not get new planes until 2015

    SW said they will not get any new planes until their load factors go up. I find this a little surprising as they would be getting more fuel efficient planes.

    They are still taking on the last of the AirTran 737's already. If I'm not mistaken, I think their plan was to finally consolidate the 2 fleets by the end of this year and let AirTran fade away finally. Since that is still 32 planes (according to Wikipedia) I think I can understand their thinking.

    Does this mean they are not introducing anymore 737-800's into the fleet until then? Those planes are so much nicer and less claustrophobic but there are so few it seems.

    The 700s are standard now but are showing wear.

    The 300s... well... just dip your hands in hand sanitizer after.
