Somebody told me that SW was being sued regarding maintenance issues by the government but I can't seem to find any information on it.

So the 12 million dollars will somehow make the safety concerns go away?

Look up some of the other places the justice department has sued. I honestly would rather put my faith in southwest.

Interesting. I work in aerospace and have made a lot of parts that are flying around out there, and I like to fly to Vegas so I keep an eye on stuff like this LOL, somehow I hadn't heard about this yet.

I am curious what the Justice Dept is involved for, normally the FAA levies fines and it's done. Now if they truly cared about safety and this was a legitimate finding they could ground the whole SWA fleet until they meet compliance. I'm not sure what this is doing to help safety if it has to be drug through the court systems now.
