I have Carrot Top tickets during my visit in a few months, and I wanted to have sushi before the show. I know the Luxor has a sushi restaurant, Rice & Company, but I haven't hear much about it. Any recommendations for Rice & Company or other Sushi places close by like Mizuya?

We had dinner at Rice & Co a few month ago. It's a pretty casual place.
The Sushi/Rolls and cocktails were great! The rest of the meal was nothing special.

Spent $105 on dinner for 2. Myvegas has the $50 voucher when you spend $100 so it was worth it.

Shibuya in the MGM isn't cheap, but it's the best sushi joint on the south strip.

Both Mizuya and Shibuya are great. Mizuya is cheaper, more casual, and closer to Luxor but Shibuya is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. Their various yellowtails and their black cod are as good as Nobu, which are must haves. The space is also much nicer of course than Mizuya's. But you won't be disappointed with either one.

I haven't been to Kumi yet but Yellowtail is great so you can expect the same.

I like Mizuya. You cannot go wrong there. And as mentioned in another post, Shibuya at MGM is very good as well, albeit a little farther away form the show you are seeing

Masa in Aria or Social House in Crystals are both excellent.

Mandalay Bay really has good sushi. Kumi has good sushi with a bit of a Korean flair, Mizuya is essentially a "classic" higher end sushi bar with good location in the casino for people watching, and RM seafood (first left into the mall) has great oysters and sushi rolls with a modern twist.

I was going to suggest RM Seafood as well. It's definitely much less "traditional" but I really enjoyed the rolls I had there.

I wholeheartedly recommend sin city sushi on Eastern and serene. 25 bucks all you can eat and freshly made each time. Was so good.

I might be the only one on this thread that feels this way, but my girlfriend and I did not like Shibuya at all. First off, the service was downright terrible and our sushi rolls were falling apart when they were served to us (seaweed salad was great though). Being MGM loyalists we were very dissapointed, that said we've also eaten at Tetsu at the Aria and it was absolutely delicious. Tetsu is expensive but the ambiance (its a tepanyaki grill so they make the food in front of you) was awesome and the food was worth it.

testsu is isnt sushi perse but you can order sushi from masa directly , so i would say you mean masa for sushi , sushi at masa will run 150 -200 per person with out drinks. its still amazing but this was about places close to luxor so its too far for his needs

Bar Masa is the best sushi joint on the strip, but it's not south, which was the OP's requirement.

That's disappointing. I've been there 2x and I've had very good experiences.
