And now for something a little different.

Has anyone here experienced what they believed to be a supernatural experience in Las Vegas?

I have one, sort of. I can't claim that it was definitely supernatural, but it was definitely real whatever it was.

The last time we were in LV we stayed at the Motel 6 on Tropicana, we did that because we had our 3 pets with us and this was the closest place to the strip that would allow 3 pets.

Our oldest cat was acting extremely strange the whole time we were there. Staring at the wall with huge wide eyes and constantly looking to cuddle. Totally out of character for him. Granted, we had just driven across the country with him in the car and he is a cat, so he's prone to strange behavior from time to time. But it was enough to cause my wife to be alarmed, so much so that she was considering leaving early.

I talked her out of that and we went out on the strip two days in a row and had a good time.

The last night we were in town she was coming out of the bathroom at our motel and she walked past me. I was walking towards the bathroom when I felt her dodge right in front of me as if she was darting into the bathroom. Since I was walking gingerly ("Vegas Feet Syndrome" I call it, because we do so much walking around that my feet actually have blisters on them) it actually knocked me off balance a little bit. I was pissed that she was trying to dodge past me like that, but then I realized she wasn't there. I turned and saw that she was on the other side of the room, no where near me. I actually got chills, not in a "the temperature has dropped because their is a ghost here" but in a "holy crap, I know something just walked past me, and it was way too big to be one of my pets"

Not a huge incident (if it could even be considered an "incident" at all) but it got me thinking, has anyone experienced anything at all?

Not me, but a friend stayed in the south tower at Bally's once (think of the MGM fire) and a few times she said she kept seeing "movement or a flash" out of the corner of her eyes..... when in her room. There was also a noise that woke her up while sleeping that was not outside the room. She said that she KNEW she was not completely alone in that room....something was there. Said she was never scared but was uneasy a couple of times.....

Nothing supernatural, but to this day I maintain I saw 3 UFOs in the sky, 25 years ago. First and only time.

Yea, I knew people would laugh, but it was actually in WI. Midnight and sober coming home from work. 3 lighted, stationary objects in the sky and then they took off faster then I've ever seen a jet move

Prior to my stay at Bally's I read that it was haunted from the fire there in the 80s. So I was interested in whether I would see or hear anything (I did not).

Haunted places intrigue me because we lived in one when I was a kid and it was pretty creepy.

Okay, this isn't really supernatural, just a couple of quirky things that happened to me in casinos.

    Background.....

I helped a neighbor for several years. She finally passed away from her brain tumor at age 27.

Her mother kept telling me that B's spirit remained around us. Okay. Whatever.

A few months after her passing, I took my daughter & 5 of her girlfriends to Disney World for a HS graduation trip. Spent about $5K.

Spent the night in Baton Rouge on the way home. Was playing $1 VP at the casino next to the hotel. I sarcastically thought, " okay, B, you need to help me out here. I have a big credit card bill coming up". Was dealt a single ace of diamonds. Thanks a lot. On the draw, I got the other 4 for a $4,000 RF. Sure helped that credit bill.

Fast forward a year. My son turned 21 & I took him and some of his buddies to the Mirage. The first morning we were there, my son told me that another friend was arriving in a few hours at McCarran. I had to get an extra room at Mirage, arrange for a limo, etc. I was sitting at a 25 cent VP machine at the Orleans & thinking, this may run me an extra grand after all is said & done. But it's worth it. " B, wish you'd help me with this one ". ( Like, sure. ). DEALT a royal flush in spades.

One of the girls I took to Disney lived next door to B. B babysat her . The late arrival in Vegas was the young girl's brother. B was crazy about those two "kids".

Did I ever smile & ask B to help me again? Yep. Did it ever work? Nope.

I know that this is unscientific, but I have always had some emotion that those two episodes were not about me at all -- they were about the kids that B loved.

    Go figure.

I stayed at the Golden Gate last October and was in a deep sleep. I felt a hand firmly grasp my forearm and gave it a couple of good tugs. . I thought that my son was trying to wake me up. Because of my deep slumber I thought that I was at home, but when I opened my eyes I became aware of where I was and that I was alone in my hotel room. I sat bolt upright in my bed and the hair on the back of my neck literally stood on end. I don't believe in the supernatural or ghosts for that matter, but I that incident gives me the chills every time I think about it.

Shit...that's scary. Wish I didn't read this, I go solo periodically. Wouldn't want that to happen to me. Maybe it was housekeeping trying to clean the room? Just kidding...:evillaugh

I've heard somewhere that deaths occure often in hotel rooms. Something like monthly in Vegas? Anyway, I'm sure housekeeping have stories to tell, and probably rooms or floors they wish to stay away from. I know a person who works at the front desk of a major hotel here in hawaii who confirms this when asked. Luckily I haven't experienced anything like that in Vegas yet, knock on wood!

The fire was actually in the North Tower in 1980. The South Tower opened in 1981. Doesn't mean there aren't ghosts traveling around... I wish I could get one to help me hit some royals!

My husband and I argue about this. I like to think there's a possibility for things to exist outside my realm of understanding. He says facts is facts and science is science. Party pooper. :)

The only thing close to a supernatural experience I've ever had was when my stomach was possessed by demons downtown a few trips ago. It was either that or 6 days of alcohol poisoning and a really awful cheese-steak sandwich. :wink2:

Two years ago my wife and were staying at the Golden Nugget in a new Rush Tower room and as she was getting ready I turned on the television and started watching some random show that caught my attention. The show was Supernatural and we ended up watching all the seasons on Netflix over the next several months.

So um yes, it was a Supernatural experience.

Not me... last time I was in Las Vegas every slot machine I turned the volume all the way up, I rubbed the screen - not just left to right but also right to left, I would push every non betting button on the machine before hitting spin and I'd tap my little troll doll on the head... and nothing, despite all that I still couldn't win :(

I remember the time I actually got decent service at Hooters. That was the only supernatural thing that's ever happened to me in Vegas.
