    My Trip Report

    Superbowl TR-Life is good:peace:

    What an amazing town.
    Arrived Thursday Feb. 3.
Took free bus over to rental car building. Enterprise employee was a fellow Philadelphian so I got a free upgrade. First score of Superbowl weekend. Yes!!!! Thurs. - Mon. rental $99. Cab to and from airport $50. Get the car every visit, I don’t care where you are staying. Valet & self parking no problem.
Check into Silverton Casino no problem. The suite is sweet. Full comp. Silverton is a local casino on Las Vegas Blvd., past MB but before M. My traveling partner had $2,000 in old comps that expire in April, so why not. Lunch at Johnny Rockets.
Checked into the Flamingo next. Room comped. Just a deluxe room. We used it as a crash pad if we couldn’t make it back to the Silverton.
Off to the Pinball Hall of Fame. Some background. We are two guys late 50’s, early 60’s. We were both pinball wizards when we were young. After 3 hours of pinball our wrists are shot.
Back to the Silverton for room service diner. Lobster, steak, wine, we had to get rid of the $2000 comp dollars. Tough life, but someone has to do it.
Back to airport to pick up others in group. Checked them into another comp Flamingo room. Spend the night gambling at the Flamingo. Mostly Poker room. Not a very exciting poker room and drop a couple hundred. Not too drunk so we head back to the Silverton. Crash about 2am after some room service.
    To be continued......

    Friday:
Up at 7am and into the gym. I can sleep when I’m dead, it’s Las Vegas baby!! Love the treadmills, not much on weights. Poker tournament at 10am at South Point. What a great remodel job they did on the sports book. Horse racing and sports book are completely separated now. Four of us in the poker tournament. Two made it to the final table. We ended up chopping the prize money 8 ways. Spent the afternoon betting the horses. TV’s at every seat and racing forms are free if you return them when you are done. 79cent hot dogs for lunch while betting horses. Life is good.
We are members of a sports web site. They supply good info on sports betting and great forums to discuss individual games. They had a private party Friday night at Lagasse’s Stadium in the Palazzo Casino. What a great venue for sports watching and good food. You must visit. The Covers party was fantastic. Free booze and finger food. Talked a lot about the Superbowl(Sorry “Big Game†lol). Shot some pool.
Off to the Bellagio Poker room. It was kind of intimidating at first so I didn’t play too many hands. What a nice room and there seemed to be many good players. Long story short, I got use to the table(1-2 No Limit), sent two players to the ATM and when the smoke cleared I cashed out a $600 profit.
Back to the Flamingo for Gambling. My friend was not doing good at gambling. Asked me to hang with him as we are always lucky together. For the next four hours we couldn’t lose. BJ($25 table) - $3600 profit. We each played two hands with a 3rd friend and closed the table. People were trying to sit at our table but with us playing two hands each there were no openings. When you get on a roll like that it is nothing but fun. Drinks are flowing. High- 5ing the dealer. Even the pit boss got into it. Great staff at these tables. Dealers probably made 6-7 hundred during our run. Next it was roulette. We never play roulette. But what the hey. When you are on a roll you are a winner everywhere. Started playing $20 on numbers and hitting at 35-1 ($700). They leave your winning chip on the number and wouldn’t you know it, it comes back to back. Ended Roulette with a $1200 profit.
What a great start to the Superbowl weekend.
    Unfortunately I missed a M&G at O’Sheas Friday at 9pm. Sorry guys.

    Saturday:
Slept in. Didn’t get to the gym until 7:30. Lol.
10:30 tee time at Rhodes Ranch Golf Course. Green & cart fee $110. Club rentals(Taylor’s) $30. Shot a 41 on the front nine. We won’t talk about the back nine. Great course and great people. Had some really nice par 3’s with lots of water. Greens were perfect. Weather was 63 degrees and I was wearing shorts in Las Vegas in Feb. Life is good.
More background: We have been coming to Las Vegas for Superbowl weekend with a group of 10-13 people for the last 20 years. Same core group all these years. It is a tradition Sat. night to have diner at a nice restaurant. This year we picked Twin Creeks at Silverton.(I wonder why?)
5:30 reservations at Twin Creek. We had a private room for 13. Food & service were fantastic. They had a special of Crab and steak. Almost everyone got it. Yum. Great evening of telling new guys old stores of past Superbowls. Bill came to $1180 including tip. My friend with $2000 comps picks up the entire bill. Nice. Life is good. Side note: My friends casino host at Silverton takes care of dinner bill, no comp points needed. Sweeett!!
Beatles Love at 9:30: Great show. Every seat is a winner so get the cheapest seats you can. Section 200 & 209 are great. At our age, this show brought back great memories of the 60’s. Do you remember the 60’s? I don’t. LOL.
    Superbowl Sunday:
Skipped gym, slept in until 8. Made numerous superbowl bets, including heavy bet on GB and the over. This will turn out to be a great Superbowl. Played tourist from 10am-2pm. Visited Bellagio, Cosmopolitan, Aria, etc. All great casinos. Got a call from one of the guys. He got us 13 reserved seats for a superbowl party at the Flamingo at the Burger Joint. $60 each. Great buffet. Needless to say the Superbowl was very profitable.
Check out Monday morning. We just couldn’t use up the comp dollars, so my friend gets $1000 in gift cards from the Pro Bass Shop connected to the Silverton. Anyone need any golf or fishing equipment? Life is good.

Great report . I'll be at South Point for my 4th consecutive year there. Looking forward to the new Race/Sports Book . Heard it was nice . Did you get anything from the SteaknShake ,Whatever the name is.

We hit the Silverton from there too. I agree rental car is always a good move.
