Have not been to Vegas during a Super Bowl, but will be out there this year and was wondering how early we should get to the Sports book at the Mirage if we want a decent seat. Any other advice for Super Bowl weekend would be great.

Been doing the superbowl in Vegas for over a decade. You'll need to get to the sportsbook really early, like before 9am if you want to save some seats for the game. They fill up quick. A better option for the casual gambler would be to pay the money to go to one of the big game events held in bars and establishments all over town. They often include food & drink. Most of these are not advertised until a few weeks before the big game.

The best viewing option is if you can get invited to one of the VIP showings that each casino holds in a ballroom. But you can't buy these tickets as they are reserved for the preferred players/gamblers.

Superbowl weekend is the best weekend in Vegas if you are a big NFL fan. Can't beat the atmosphere everywhere you go.

    Good luck

I think all the advice in the above post is excellent. I would add that I suspect you would have to get to the book even before 9 to guarantee yourself a seat. There are always other sporting events before the Super Bowl, so some people get in early and watch and gamble on those before the big game

Appreciate the advice. Not sure my dad and I will want to sit at the Sports Book for that long!

Last year people were taking their seats at 7AM in the Ceasars Book. It truly is the best weekend in Vegas!

Watched the game at carnival Court at Harrahs last year. Grabbed a table at 10am when they opened and were setting up around us. Met a couple of people and we kept taking turns saving our table as we would go walk around the strip now and then until the game started. So, yeah, get wherever you want to be really early.

You will love the vibe. I always find the Saturday night before the game the best. Everyone that is in town for the game is in a party mood. Met some great people over the years on the Saturday.

The casinos do throw some great parties. We did Aria the first year they were open. Awesome party - and do not remember it all.

I went from paying $560 for 5 nights at Ballys to $336!

THe same day I got an offer from Luxor for 5 nights for $213 w a room upgrade and $20 f&b credit. The rooms must not be filling up like they expected.
