    My Trip Report

Went this past weekend fri-mon. Stayed at Aria and took usair from Reagan natl dc nonstop to las first class.

    Friday
Arrived around 11:30 am (had about an hour longer flight because oh headwinds) in Vegas, got down to get luggage and our limo driver from aria was no where to be seen. I went to another aria driver and he called in asking where our limo was and than 2 min later ours showed up. He took us down to the car but he wasn't our driver. Our driver finally shows up and it's an escalade and not a limo which I actually liked better since I don't need a limo for 2 ppl.

We get to aria check-in and the invited guest line moved quick and checked in to room 11-223. Had a few drinks in the room and ordered room service for lunch. Went down to hit the baccarat tables for a bit before our massages and won around $3k in a short hit n run session.

We went back up to the room to get ready for our massages and headed to the spa. Now this is my second time to arias spa and is now my favorite spa. The massage was awesome (hot stone massage) and went to the sauna, steam room and the outdoor relaxation pool.

After the spa, went back up to the room to get ready for dinner at prime at bellagio. We got to bellagio and went to Hyde for a few drinks and to watch the fountain show for a bit. Then I get a lucky feeling and hit the high limit bacc tables.

Got to the bacc tables and we had about 2 hours before dinner. We had a great table with a guy from Los Angeles and his 2 friends. We were taking a few shots together, ordering each other drinks and winning. The karma was good at the table and we were even paying each others commissions and making side bets. By the time for dinner rolled around, I was up another 6k (rough total 9-10k so far). The guy from LA gives me his phone number and tells us that he has a table at XS to see ZEDD and made us promise to come there and we wouldn't have to pay for anything. He said he had a dance floor table with a minimum of 10k.

XS was awesome Friday and apparently everyone there knew this person as they just came and pulled us into the club to take us to the table. There were about 10-15 ppl total including this years wsop champ and everyone was real nice and we had a great time. I felt bad because he didn't take any money from us so I bought a bottle of champaign for the table that he was ordering even though he wasn't letting the waitress take my money. Again, real good guy.

Late fri/early sat coming up next.

I arrived a little later on Friday and the airport was PACKED! So the issue with the car is no surprise to me. We waded through an avalanche of people Friday evening to find our Mandalay Bay driver. The driver looked incredibly relieved just to be out of the madhouse that was the airport arrival area!

Nice start! I need to follow the other baccarat players around on this board and play with you guys lol.

I also agree with you that the aria spa is one of the best in vegas.

Late fri night/early sat and the awesome heater

After leaving XS around 3am, my friend was exhausted since being up at 6am east coast time so it's been 24 hours. So he left encore and I decided to hit the blackjack tables to give wynn some action to get on their radar.

Sat at a Bj table for a few hours and ended up around 1500. Then decided to go back to aria. I still wasn't tired so decided to play dd Bj in high limit. After a few hours cashed out up another 6k but was up 11k at one point. I decided I didn't want to give anymore back since it turned cold and went to the bacc area. I believe it was now around 8 or 9am.

Sat down at the bacc table and the first few shoes were kinda choppy but there were some streaks and could tell if it was gonna break. Then came one of the best bacc shoes I've ever played on the player side. You can predict every single hand that was coming up based on the scoreboard. No one on the table could lose. At one point I was doing so well that I put 7k out on player and everyone supported me. I tell the dealer to only open 1 card for bank first which was a 3. I look at one card and was a picture. I tell dealer to open bank and it's a 4 and the total is 7. My heart was pumping and I got queezy lol but everyone said 8/9. I didn't want to look so I just picked the card up and slammed it down with my eyes shut. I expected the worst but to my relief everyone started yelling so I opened my eyes to a beautiful 9 for the 7k win!!! The shoe was almost over so decided not to go heavy anymore but we were all still winning.

After that shoe everyone including me decided to cash out. I go cash out and I calculate that I am now up 36k!! Natedogg, shifter and UK woulda killed the table!!! It is now 2pm Saturday and finally decide to get some sleep when my friend came down and told him to wake me up by 8pm.

Sat evening, Super Bowl Sunday and donkeying off money

Friend woke me up around 8pm, showered and got ready for the evening. Had dinner at Julian Seranno which was amazing!!! Decided to head over to wynn to give some more action. Wanted to play bacc so went to the bacc room and it was a zoo. Every table was either a $500 or $1000 minimum which were packed and I wouldn't play anyways. My comfort zone is a $200-$300 min table in bacc and $200 min in Bj. Every other table was reserved in the room and up the stairs to the left when you walk in was reserved also.

Decided to hit a Bj table where I was on a hell of a streak for a few hours. Ended up cashing out +14k in the few hours. When I cashed out, the cashier asked for the last 4 digits of my ss# but didn't know why. Up 50k so far which A rarity for me for the trip. This was the last of my heater for the trip unfortunately and should've stopped playing!!

We go to Cosmo and I lose about 4k playing Bj in high limit in a few shoes and my friend and I didn't like the vibe there and was too crowded so we left back to aria. Started out playing high limit dd Bj and lose, bacc and lose. I decide to hit the sack to get some good rest before my broncos shit the bed on Super Bowl Sunday.

Woke up refreshed, showered and headed to Venetian because we went to rock house for the party. Played a little high limit dd Bj and lost again. We go to rock house and they had a nice setup. We paid $175 each for bar seats and premium open bar but of course drinks were weak. Besides the outcome of the game, it was a good time.

We head back to aria and of course I decide to go back to the dd Bj game and lose. Decide to hit bacc one last time. It was starting to run good with me and another player when the "evil eye" sits down. The other player and I were alway on the same side. The evil eye would ALWAYS wait for us to bet and he would take a 1k chip and bet against us. And that's when we started losing. No matter what we bet he would bet opposite and even the dealer remarked that it's a given lol. I had enough of it and decided to cash out with another loss.

I decide to lock the rest of the win in and lost half of the 50k. So still ended the trip up $25k which I'm very happy about.

I emailed my host at aria about my rating and she had me at 8 hrs 40 min, $1157 avg bet and winning $14,500. This is a very high rating for me since I tend to avg $300-$500 a hand but was running really well from the beginning and increased my play. I wonder if it will help my offers at all or what to expect for that level of play. Also not sure if that play includes bellagio from fri night or not.

I'm curious of my wynn avg and if they give it to me on the phone, I will post it here.

My next trip is memorial weekend for my wife and i's anniv. Hope everyone enjoyed my tr and it wasn't too long.

I played at Aria sunday around lunchtime for an hour and swung by the back room. It was pretty crazy in there, although it doesn't sound as busy as Wynn.

As for the including Bellagio play in your stats, I'm guessing it probably does include that. I know the MGM computers simply track play for an entire week. I once asked my host at Bellagio about my stats and he ended up including my play from Tunica just a couple days before I flew out to Vegas

Wynn was packed sat night. I didnt play at aria until sun nite and it wasnt too crowded in the bacc room.

Also only received around 22k tier credits, does that sound correct? My ec's are closr to $350 and was able to keep them. Host picked up all charges but tips.

Nice report. Casinos are required by law to report cash transactions over 10k in a day. Normally they ask for your players card to track that if you cash out over 3k or 5k (depending on casino). Last 4 digits of your social is probably just a confirmation you are who they thought you are.

    No bets on the game?

Thnx for the info. So they are reporting it to the irs? And why didnt aria ask for me to clarify my info also? But i believe this is not taxable since it is not the 300/1 on table games correct?

Different casinos track it differently. If you were playing with your players card they typically track your buy-in and cash out accurately enough. A CTR (Currency Transaction Report) is reported to FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) when aggregate cash transactions surpass $10k (in or out) in one day. This is used to look for money laundering. It doesn't get reported directly to the IRS, but it does create a paper trail. As you probably realize, all gambling winnings are taxable as income whether you get a W2G or not.

If you try to get around a CTR being filed by cashing in $9000 or so, you'd be committing the crime of Structuring. Additionally, cashiers are supposed to look for activity such as this and file a SAR (Suspicious Activity Report). Get a few SAR's filed against you and you begin to get on FinCEN's radar...which isn't good.

Bottom line, you have 11 more months to "lose" back any money you won. Most gamblers achieve this one way or another.

Nice report and a beyooootiful win.

I agree...the entire town was super crowded. I mentioned in my TR that I had trouble finding spots on Saturday night. Busiest I have ever seen the town!

Nice win. I will be there this Friday. It seems many people on the board have had nice wins over the last month or so including myself.
