    My Trip Report

I'm packing my huge suitcase for my four-night stay starting Sunday. Slacks, jeans, shorts, 4 Polos, 2 buttoned-down shirts, 4 pairs of athletic socks, 3 pairs of dress socks, dress shoes, flip-flops, 2 t-shirts, belt, swim trunks, toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, hair spray, styling mousse, mouthwash (just in case I get lucky), lip balm, comb, disposable razor, pain reliever (just in case I forget to drink enough water before I go to bed), 4 underwear (1 for each day; different colors; again just in case I get lucky), cell phone, cell phone charger, wallet (with some cash and credit cards), watch, sunglasses, cigars, $4 in Wynn chips (I call them drink tokens) which I have had with me for a couple of years.

I filled up half my suitcase. Did I forget anything? Oh yeah, my checkbook (I hope I don't need it) and my player's cards.

They have Condoms in the rooms now. Too bad you Leave the day before I arrived. Wow your checklist is more complete than mine. Just need CASH, LOC, and More Cash. So Clean out Paris and Bally's.

Good luck and Kick some ASS.

Haha. I actually thought of that later. I've been going for a decade-and-a-half, but I haven't had any luck yet. Maybe I should work on turning my one-keg into a six-pack. LOL

They have condoms in the rooms? I've never noticed this. I'll check when I get there in a couple weeks.

Probably not at Paris but some hotels will have an "intimacy kit" in the minibar area you can purchase with things like condoms and massage oil.

I haven't seen condom machines in restrooms though like chonglo mentions. Maybe I just haven't noticed. I'd imagine those would only be in restrooms at the clubs.

    I think Palazzo's was $45

I bought it and stuck it in my buddy's carry-on with about 50 of the hooker cards so his wife would think he was gettin' all funky while he was away.

Indeed it was and it was fantastic.

His wife has a great sense of humor though and we always have prank wars.

I know I started it, but I'm getting this thread back on track. Just arrived at Paris, unpacked, and got my two gallons of water from Walgreens next to PH. Getting $250 in resort credits. I thought it was going to be casino play, but $250 is $250 so it's fine by me. Meeting up with friends and heading off to dinner at Julian Serrano at 7pm, then to see Zarkana at 9:30. Both are at Aria across the street. I'll get a bourbon or two after the show from either Mandarin Bar or maybe the Bourbon Room at Venetian. I'll let you know how the food and show are.

Since I like Spanish food, Julian Serrano had really good tapas. My friends are people that I worked with who, like me, love fine-dining and the shows of Vegas. I had a couple of Blanton whiskeys for an aperitif. We ordered several dishes each around $15. Their oxtail was terrific. And my friends brought a great Chilean red wine that paired well with the food. Then we went off to see Zarkana. It's a typical Cirque du Soleil show with acrobatics in a circus-like setting. I still like Mystere the best since it was the original. Then I proceeded to PH by myself to sit down at Crazy Four Poker. Liza was the dealer, and she made it fun to be there. That's why I picked that table. I ended up being at the table for over three hours and came out $1,100 ahead. Then it was off to bed at 3:30AM.

I met up with my uncle's sister-in-law and her husband this morning, Monday. Played BJ and Three-Card-Poker at Mandalay Bay for a few hours and lost a few hundred. Tonight the friends I had dinner with last night are meeting up with me at Petrossian Bar at Bellagio. We'll listen to the piano-player while sipping on Champagne and nibbling on a charcuterie plate and caviar. It'll be the perfect appetizer for our steaks at Prime. After dinner my friends and I will sit at one of the gaming tables partaking in after-dinner libations. I'll get back to you on details of our planned night, and how it went.

On Monday night I met my friends at Petrossian Bar and had the Champagne with a plate of smoked salmon and caviar. We were there for an hour listening to the pianist before we went to the restaurant. At 8:00PM we went to Prime Steakhouse. We were there for over three hours taking in the ambiance. We brought a great Bordeaux to enjoy with our steaks. Corkage is a little high at $50, but it was better than the $75 that Mix at Mandalay Bay charged us several years ago. We had the foie gras for an appetizer and shared a Far Niente Dolce dessert wine which paired excellently with it. I had the porterhouse steak done rare plus. I couldn't believe I finished it off, but I didn't want to leave anything that was so good. We also ordered the broccoli and asparagus as the sides. We didn't leave any room for dessert, but we had great coffee. I know that it's good the less sugar I add. I didn't add any sugar to this coffee. Our total bill for three people with tip: over $600. There's no other feeling than fine-dining in Vegas. I think their signature steaks are the dry-aged bone-in New York and ribeye steaks.

After dinner we went across the street to PH where we played some three-card poker. My friends only stayed for an hour before their buy-in was gone, but I played for another hour after that. I was staying even, then I got three queens which got me my $500 back from the afternoon. I decided to call it a night even for the day and $1,100 up for the trip to that point. I had a pleasant night of sleep. My Tuesday TR will be submitted soon.

Tuesday morning I met my friends at Bouchon for breakfast in the Venetian. We ordered some beignets with Nutella and strawberry jam and coffee to start. I could have just eaten those for breakfast, but I ordered the basic eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The breakfast was quite filling so we walked around the mall area afterward. I walked next door to Harrah's to catch the monorail when I discovered that there was another million dollar three-card-poker winner. I was at the next table over when it hit a month-and-a-half ago at PH.

Didn't do much gambling in the daytime and just took it easy knowing that I would meet my other friends who were in Vegas.at the time also. Even though I had steak the previous night, I wanted them to experience the nice steakhouse in Vegas, so we went to BLT Steak in Bally's. Not wanting another slab of beef two nights in a row, I ordered the lamb. My friends ordered the bone-in ribeye and the short ribs. I tasted both, and BLT Steak is now in the top five of my favorite steakhouses, perhaps even in the top three.

My friends loved the old O' Shea's so we decided to go there. I sat down with them at roulette for a few spins, but they didn't feel it so we went to Harrah's. The BJ tables weren't a low enough limit for them so we sat down at keno for a few runs. Keno never has been my thing, and it still isn't. It was usually something I played to pass the time waiting for my breakfast at the casino diner. I finally decided to go back to Paris and play some BJ there. I went down around 500 in a matter of a half-hour. Then I went to three-card-poker which put me another thousand in the hole before I battled back and came out 200 ahead. Now I'm around 500 ahead for the trip and decide to go to sleep knowing I have another day.
