The website says they get a premium for golf course views, north side. I'm sure that is all nice, but wouldn't the south view be of the Strip and maybe even downtown off in the distance? Also, there's Badlands on that side too. So you have golf course view there too, right? I've been looking at a map trying to decide which view I would prefer. So what do you see out the south windows? Also, are there any insider tips you can offer about Suncoast?
We've stayed at Suncoast as recently as last month and at least a half dozen times last year (and again next week), but are unqualified to comment on the views. For whatever reason, we've always been offered the golf view, and since it goes for a premium, we've taken it. (We don't even play golf!) Every time we've been there, we keep meaning to see what's out the other side, but never seem to get around to it. Once or twice, only one of us was comped the golf view and the other a "normal" view, but darn if they didn't let us stay in the golf view room. This time our reservation is for a Premium King with Golf View, whatever the heck that is! Maybe someone else will be able to tell us what we've been missing on the other side of the hall. As for tips, about the only thing that comes to mind is that the entire casino, at least for our T-Mobile service, is a dead zone. Reception is fine in the room, at least the window half, but we have to step outside the casino to check messages. Like the Orleans and Gold Coast, they have the $1.25 hot dog cart by the sports book. Sorry I can't think of anything else, but of the seven Boyd/Coast Vegas properties, we like Suncoast the best!
Never stayed there, so no clue on views, but we gambled there a lot. At the bar, 8/5 Bonus, 9/7 DB & 9/6 DDB. No JOB, at least at the bar. $1.25 hotdogs on the weekends in the sportsbook. Buffet is ok. Tgi Fridays has decent food. Live Keno if you're into that. Nice place, mostly friendly employees. TITO even for a $1,000 Royal. Good selection of beers on tap. Movie theatre & bowling alley. Liquor store where you can pay with B Connected points or show the card for a 10% discount.
The Badlands view isn't much more than a sliver, at best, since those holes coming in largely play down into the arroyo, and then that Queensridge (?) monstrosity blocks out a huge bit of the span. And if you aren't up at the top you get a lot of roof top clutter of Suncoast. North View is far preferable.
