try the carmel room in the rampart casino which is attached to the jw. excellent dinner, rest.com participant and easy to use the $50 off coupon from rest.com when dining with two. wine list is very good and reasonable as well. in addition, the restaurant in the jw, i believe it is ceres also gets excellent reviews. we love the jw in summerlein. if you want to travel a bit, go to marche bacchus about 10 minutes away, great french restaurant, ask for waiter stefan. they have an extensive wine store, and corkage is $10 for each bottle you drink at dinner. excellent restaurant as well.

If you're looking for some good pub food, Chicago Brewing Co brewpub is just up the road. Less than 10 minutes away. Between Charleston & Sahara.
It's actually a very big menu and we've had some very good lunches & dinners there. And the beer is very good:beer:

Also Suncoast next door to JW has some decent places and the Steakhouse used to be in Restaurant.com. I don't know if it still is, the name has changed.

Not sure if this is the type of thing you're looking for but when we were there over Thanksgiving, we stopped by Patisserie Manon and picked up some pastries for dessert later. Amazing! They have breads, dessert items (available as single servings or whole) and savoury items. It's in the area you're looking at, if I'm not mistaken. Sorry I don't remember the exact address, but it's on Charleston between Durango and Rampart. I whole-heartedly recommend them.

Just in case this might be more your style, this place is excellent and not too far from JW.

I'm salivating just thinking about the 1/2# corned beef sandwich.

Firefly and Siena are nearby on Sahara if you'd be interested in Tapas or Italian. Across the way in Boca Park, there are decent chains like Grimaldi's, Cheesecake Factory and Gordon Biersch. Marché Bacchus (French), Sushi Mon (AYCE) aren't too far, either. BabyStacks Cafe for breakfast.
