I've stayed in the suites at The D and like them for the most part. I REALLY like the beds. It's a bit dark for my taste, but I can deal with that. I do think the three TV thing is lame though.

I am thinking about trying one of the suites at Golden Gate. I was wondering if anyone who has stayed in both could talk about how they compare. A nice bathroom with walk in shower is a must for me. The only suite I can find good photos of is an ADA suite, so I'm sure it's different.

    Thanks!

Suites at Golden Gate are very serviceable. Large walk in shower, lots of lighting, storage and fridge. Nice seating area can convert to second bed. I was happy

I've been in the D suite a few times never stayed. I always stay at the GG in a suite when I come to Vegas. The GG suite is really just a large room with a wet bar area for a bathroom sink. It does have a walk in shower and separate toilet area but these are not walled off from the rest of the room. Strange as it sounds there is a curtain that you can use to separate ther area off. I know its sounds alittle janky but its always worked just fine for me. If you're with just your significant other you'll be fine. Not really a great place to entertain though because of the bathroom situation.

I'd say that the D is a more traditional type suite. The 3 TV set up is nice for watching games though.

I believe that the GG does have a 2 bedroom suite also with outside area. Not sure about the bathroom as I have never been in it though.

Haven't stayed in D suites, but did stay at Golden Gate Suite a couple weeks ago.

The room is large enough with a queen bed and a large sectional sofa. Initially, you think, this would be great as a home base for a bunch of people as long as they all have places to sleep. Unfortunately, the bathroom situation is really only good for solo or a very comfortable couple. There is a curtain that can be drawn around the bathroom area, but what you have is a shower stall and a toilet stall with a sink outside in the room.

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

I've had comped suites at both the D and GG. The D Suite seems to be bigger, and the separation of bedroom/ living room is always nice. The suites at the GG do seem to have a better fit and finish however, likely due to the newer construction at GG.
