Will be staying on the strip in December & would like some suggestions for an Italian dinner on the strip. Preferably something at $100 per person or less.
    Thank you in advance

One of our favorites is Il Mulino at the forum shops (third floor). Fabulous!

Doesn't have to be on the strip. A short cab ride away would be okay.
Please don't mention downtown as we are staying on fremont the last 2 nights of our trip & will not be going down there until those last few days of the trip.

Fellini's at Stratosphere has very good Italian food as well as steaks and seafood. It's about half the price of most Strip restaurants.

Also check out Piero's, which isn't half the price; most definitely not.

What kind of Italian are you looking for? Old-school Southern Italian? Northern Italian? Contemporary Italian? "Italian inspired"? Italian Fusion?

Scarpetta at the Cosmopolitan is probably the best. It overlooks the fountains at Bellagio on the second or third floor. Amazing atmosphere.

It's a Scott Conant restaurant and he has the same restaurant in NYC and Miami.

Scott is a celebrity chef that has won many accolades and awards. He won season 3 Chopped All-Stars on the Food Network and guest judges on several Food Network shows.

His spaghetti plate has even made it on the show "The Best Thing I Ever Ate." Look it up on YouTube.

I'm a fan of Rao's in Caesars for something more old school.
I also like Scarpetta in the Cosmo. I've been to the Vegas location and NYC......both excellent.

+1. The wife and I thought the food was amazing. She horked down her polenta faster than I've seen her eat anything else

I generally like some lobster and meat with my pasta, but yes, his spaghetti is amazingly simple, but awesome. One of my friends initially made fun of the the sauce saying it looked like Chef Boyardee, but he soon changed his tune after his first bite. You should've seen the people at the Scarpetta in Beverly Hills for Sunday brunch. You are shelling out around ~$70 for AYCE and people are piling it on like it is going out of style. Hilarious.

We had four of us at dinner and we got two spaghetti plates as appetizers and one person had another one as her main course. The spaghetti is that good.

There's a short rib pasta dish also that's unbelievably amazing. Melt in your mouth terrific.

I wear jeans everywhere I go, so they definitely allow jeans. I wore a sport coat once and a collared shirt another time.

I wouldn't think shorts and sandals are okay, but I'm pretty sure they're quite casual in there.

You might look into Trevi at Caesars. It's one of my faves. More current that say, Rao's and a great setting for people watching.

Last time I was there I wore a button up un-tucked (well it was a form fitting Thomas Dean) with jeans and had no issues at all.

Scarpetta is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas and you can ask for a view of the fountains. Really cool vibe and great food.

We like Fellini's alot. Never had less than a fantastic experience.

Trevi in Forum Shops is pretty good, convenient, easy.

But for atmosphere, taste, quality, entertainment all at one great place it's Bootlegger, hands down. (you'll need a cab, as it's south of the airport on LV Blvd).
