Planning a short trip to LV for the 4th of July week. Can anybody recommend a hotel to stay at? I'm going with a couple of friends all whom are bachelors and are all looking to party and have fun.

Your stats say you have been to vegas 10 times. What rewards program is most of your play on?

So a party pool scene is important to you?

I'd suggest Flamingo, MGM, or Hard Rock and maybe Palms.

Hmm if you want to party a lot maybe the Palms (some of the best clubs), or Luxor is always nice for a younger partying crowd (LAX is pretty cool). PH could be a good choice too, always a lot going on there.

Or if you have the money, I'd check Cosmopolitan. That seems to be the most happening party spot right now.

I'd say any of the 4 star hotels would be a good option, the 5 star ones are a little stuffier I'd say for partying.

I appreciate all the suggestions, I think I'm going to look into either the Flaming, Hard Rock, or PH. All which I have never stayed at before.

    Where do you usually stay?

Which ones do you usually like?

    Where will you be playing?

Are you a regular - and what rates are the online booking engines showing for you? Free, discount, etc?

    Looking for one room? Multiple?

4th of July week could mean many different things? Fri/Sat stays?

When I go to LV I've usually stayed at different hotels, some of the most recent ones being Luxor, MGM, Palazzo, and New York New York. I've gone sporadically throughout the years and I like to try out new hotels when I can.

I'm not too big of a gambler so I never thought to get a players card. I'm looking for a room with two beds. And I'm going from the 3rd through the 5th. The average rates i've been seeing from the booking engines is about $200 for that time period.

of the 3 mentioned above.......... I would choose the Flamingo hands down.
When staying at a hotel who has sister properties it comes in handy that you can eat at the other hotels and charge it to your room. And your play stays mostly on 1 card for comp purposes.

Hard rock is too far away from the strip and will drain you in taxi fares to/from strip.

PH.... nice place, no sister properties.

Another "party pool" property to consider is: Mandalay Bay.. GREAT POOLS

I would get a Players Card for sure. Sometimes they offer first timers free to cheap rooms, even with low play. Especially CET. Hard to know what hotels you would like, but for mid level, we love Paris. Way less for Luxor.

PH has the same sister properties as Flamingo does. Has been part of Caesars for almost 2 years. Since it has been one it has become my home on all Vegas trips. As a 32 year old who loves to be where the action is, I have a wife who doesn't enjoy "crazy" pool parties, 20 trick ALWAYS works, and the rarely check companion cards. Its perfect for me :)
