I am trying to find a restaurant for 22 people to meet for a late lunch/early dinner on Dec. 11th - tried a couple and for that many people you have to pay half up front and half a week before - don't want to get into that, just want separate checks.

Any suggestions? Most of us are staying at Harrah's,

    Nancy from Ontario

What places did you already look at that wanted to charge 1/2 and 1/2? With that many people, I would say most decent restaurants would require the same thing.

We recently did a reservation for 10-12 at Maggiano's at the Fashion Show Mall and didn't have to pay anything ahead of time. The food is good there, especially if you do the family style meal. But... with 22 or so, they may need to put you all in a separate room and do the 1/2 now/later thing.

It may be easier to do 2 reservations for 11 at any restaurant you are looking at. The 2 groups may not be seated together though.

Thanks for your reply Scott. We might just end up meeting at Toby Keiths in the bar area

Our trip this past July we stayed at Harrah's and did the following:

KGB with 14 by just walking up to go in. They would not split the checks up. The only one that did split checks was The Cafe when we went for breakfast.

Since everyone gambled in our group they just gave me the cash for their portion and we split the autogratuiy.

Margarittaville, about an hour wait thankfully there was a bar, we did 16 and they were willing to split the checks up. No reservation there either.

We did a champagne buffet at Mirage and we asked for them to accomodate 17 for that one and you paid at the register when you walked in before seating and everyone was able to pay separately and sit together by connecting tables. waited about 15 minutes after the last one paid. Dinner is 3-9 pm.

We didn't inquire but if they still have the 24 hour buffet pass that may be an option also.

    Hope this helps

Thanks so much for the buffet idea - I am going to contact Harrah's and see if that will work.

I think that's fairly outdated info as Caesars is now Bacchanal and IP/Quad has no buffet currently. I also believe the price has gone up

    Sorry, here's the other part:

"A Buffet of Buffets Pass starts as low as $49.99* plus tax per person and is valid for a 24-hour period from when you initially purchase your pass. It is good for as many visits as you like during participating buffet business hours within that 24-hour period."

"**Upgrade your pass to include the new Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace for as low as $15 per visit or the Village Seafood Buffet at the Rio for $10 per visit. Please see your cashier for details when purchasing your Buffet of Buffets Pass."

We had 22 people for our "rehearsal" dinner at Lupo in Mandalay Bay the night prior to our wedding. We just made the reservation through the concierge and didn't have to put down a deposit or anything. Dinner was excellent and the staff was great too.
