Wow. Where are you? I can't see anything from my window here at Wynn but Palazzo seems to be blocking my view to that area.

I'll be there on Tuesday, wonder how/if it'll effect things. I'm not much of a pool goer anyhow.

You would think it'd be easy to put out with all that water right there.

Hope everyone is safe. Guess they'll be tightening the slots again.

I really hope everyone is safe! Anyone staying at the Cosmo now, what's going on?

How many of you know there is a Clark County Fire Station just behind the Cosmo. If you have walked from the back of the ARia, down a high set of outdoor stairs, your looking right at the fire station.

Yep - I've been in that station. Its location, coupled with some of the strictest fire safety standards in the USA, is what makes The Strip one of the safest places in the world to stay - when considering fire safety. At least some good came out of the MGM tragedy.

We're staying in the west wing directly overlooking the pool on the 59th floor. We had just checked in and gotten our room in order and were going down to the casino. But someone had pressed the button for the 14th floor so we decided to walk through the pool area. As soon as we walked in all he'll broke loose (innocent - I swear!) Looked like it started with a palm, but have no idea how it ignited. After a quick pic, we got evacuated and hung out across the street for a while. Looked like the casino and maybe the east wing were open so we went back in for a bit. Last we checked the west wing was still closed, but we just saw a fire truck go by our refuge at Diablos so maybe it's all clear now.
