I am trying to get my trip together and wanted to stop by the Stratosphere one night next week. I am a little confused about a couple of things:

    1. Do I need to buy a pass to go to the observation tower?

    2. I found this which looks legit and decent price for two tickets if I need them?

    3. I read another post on a site that says just to go to the Level 107 Lounge and have a drink or two and that would be good enough.

    Thoughts? Thanks!!!

My wife and I regularly go up The Tower. You can buy a pass to go up the tower with or without rides included.

Or, you can make a reservation at one of the restaurants for a meal.

Or, you can buy two drinks per person in advance at the lounges/bars.

If you buy any of the above online, take in a copy of the voucher. Tickets can be purchased onsite right by the Tower entrance. And, also right by the tower entrance, is a reception desk where you can make reservations for a meal or buy drinks in advance.

I'd recommend getting a reservation to eat or for drink vouchers. For, with those you get to bypass the line as a "VIP" and take the elevator up with very little wait - if any.

I've never paid to just go up...just told them at the elevator line that I was going up to have drinks at the bar and they've always just let us through....then if i wanted to go outside on the observation deck i just walked up the stairs and went out.
