I saw on the El Cortez website they are serviing stone crabs on Friday and Saturday.

Any comments or experience with their stone crab at the El Cortez?

    How much does it cost?

    How many do you get?

I'm planning on going there and using the ACG coupon. I have eaten there in the past but have gotten steaks. Disappointed that they no longer serve a ribeye now.

$28 for a pound served Friday and Saturday. Limited supply
Have only had them in Miami and Key West. 300× better than lobster

There are coupons for the Flame in both the ACG and LVA that are good for 50% off up to $25 (ACG) or $30 (LVA).

I know John Curtas (eatinglv.com) has raved about them twice in his blog, and he's not one to throw around empty compliments.

Are the LVA and ACG coupons valid on the weekend or are they just Sunday through Thursday?

Both are good on the weekend, but exclude holidays periods. I would suggest making a reservation through OpenTable.

I haven't had them this season, but past years, they've been quite good, especially for the price. Trouble is that they run out. We've gone, and seen tables surrounding us with crab, but none was available for us. I suggest going on Friday, make a reservation as early as possible. Otherwise, you run the risk of them running out. Also, when making the reservation confirm that they will be serving the stone crab. I've experienced several times they have not. Lack of shipment due to short supply in Fl.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I was planning on going Saturday because I want to go to the Fremont seafood buffet, which is only served on Fridays.

    Hmmm, what to do.
