This will be my 7th trip to Vegas and my 7th different month (just worked out that way)
Stayed March, April, May, July, August and October

How does is downtown in mid November? Busy dead? compared to Oct and April (the other times I used to stay on the strip) October was my last trip and it seemed busy everywhere we went except the palms.

Next how is the mid november weather?

I am from WI and in Nov it is in the low 40's so 60's or low 70's will feel really nice. If it is cold at night can you even tell moving from casino to casino?

November is a great time to go for weather. If you're used to 40s in Nov, you're in for a comfortable stay this season. You're probably looking at a low in the mid 40s at night, mid to upper 60s during the day. Light jacket weather maybe at night.

But honestly downtown, going from casino to casino you'd be fine since it's so close. Unless you're standing outside for a while to listen to a band or something, and even then it's not freezing.

Downtown is not as busy in November as during the summer, but still can get some foot traffic. I've found December to be really light down there, which can be a good time to go if you want a break from the crowds.

    Enjoy your trip!

Wi native here, you'll see the locals bundled up like its 40 below, I generally rock a t-shirt no matter the month when I visit Vegas

If you are staying at Golden Nugget, the pool will be heated and open.

Personally I like the downtown area, though my wife is not too fond of it. I've only stayed there once (4 Queens) but had a great time. It was in September and it was pretty hot but walking from casino to casino is nothing like the strip!
