Will be staying at Harrah,s for the first time in March and was wondering what would be a good room to try for. The last 6 trips we have at Ballys and had a great room overlooking the airport. We always get 5 nights comped but could not get them at Ballys this time so had to go for Harrahs, so looking for a room away from the noise of the outdoor bands down below thanks Tour

We just returned from staying at Harrahs. We were in room 2318 and it was great. The view is facing the mountains (beautiful), and the location is really, really quiet. In all, a great room.

We've stayed at Harrah's five times now and every time at check in they have asked what side of the building we want to be on and explaining that the south side will have a better view, but be over Carnival Court and the north side will have almost no view (you get to see The Venetian driveway and some air conditioning units mostly and just a glimmer of The Strip) but will get no noise from Carnival Court.

They also have a price list of upgrades available where for as little as $5 per night you can buy a room upgrade. The petite suite is either $15 or $20 more per night and not a bad option for an upgrade.

I've stayed at Harrahs many times and we always request Carneval Tower (closest to reservation desk). The reason we ask for that tower is we both smoke and I don't think the rooms in Mardi Gras Tower (closer to the casino) are smoking rooms, if that's an issue one way or the other for you.

Only one time did we have an issue with noise in that tower (Carneval) and that was when we ended up with a room directly over the pool. Still wasn't that bad that I couldn't fall asleep because we were high up.

While the Mardi Gras tower rooms do have balconies, they are standing room only. Nice that you can let some fresh air in though.

I've stayed in the deluxe room and premium room (after $20 trick) when asked for the premium room if we wanted the "party side or quiet side". We chose the party side and had a small balcony that overlooked the pool and close to Carnaval Court. We liked to open the sliding door as we got ready for the day/night and hear the music. When the door was closed couldn't hear much and we were passed out.

I've stayed at Harrahs for the last 5 years and have always had the Mardi Gras tower quiet side sometimes with a balcony and sometimes not. the view is not really much but sometimes you have the view of the volcano across the street. I like this tower for it being so easy to get to from the casino. Going again at the end of May and I might switch it up and go for the Carnival tower with a mountain view.

Stayed there mostly in 2012. Not bad I would recommend. Nothing fancy just your typical room to rest/crash. The only thing I would advise is to shut off that damn fan when you sleep! It is very very loud and interfere with your attempt to get some good shut eye. A major plus is that Executive Shuttle is there.

I've repeated this in a few threads, but I think Harrah's is a decent value given the location and proximity to some great casinos, restaurants and attractions. The premium rooms are just fine for two people - a perfectly clean room to crash and get ready. Dependent on the time of year, you can find some $5 craps tables in the casino. The Quad is next door, which has been redone and is very nice.
