    Hey All!
We are staying at the GN Rush Tower for the first time for one night at the beginning of March (6th). We have stayed at the Nugget before in both the Carson and Gold towers so we are familiar with the property. We are also quite familiar with downtown, but I am always willing to learn more about the area. I know it has probably been asked before in this forum, but when we check in, should I ask for a particular side of the tower? Do we have to worry about room location and canopy noise? How high up should I request? Any other information would be appreciated also.

Stayed there four times and noise was never an issue facing south. Hallways are short. I'd ask for highest facing south for view or lowest facing south for elevator service. Their breakfast buffet has declined in quality while increasing in price. ACG coupon is no good on weekends, don't get caught paying for Sunday brunch! Try DuPar's, they have actual hash browns.

I agree with FullPay. Ask for a south facing room, the view of the strip and the mountains is fairly decent. Noise isn't a factor from FSE at all. The rooms are great. Have a great trip!!! :peace::beer:

I want to follow up on this thread. When we checked in on Sunday, (March 6th), the front desk clerk first asked if we were there for a special occasion. I told him it was my wife's birthday so he started offering me upgrades for an additional $100. I knew our room was going to be nice anyway so I politely turned him down. Then he says something to the effect of "Well, I am authorized to offer you a complimentary upgrade to a Jr suite. Would you like to do that?" Um, let me think about...YES! So the room ended up being on the 25th floor, room 210, SE corner with two views. One due south and one due east.

Truthfully, this was almost to much room for one night. But I wasn't about to give it up! It was the nicest room we have stayed in while in Vegas. Mike, I do have to say that because we were on the SE corner, we could hear the band playing on Fremont. Trust me, I am not complaining, just an observation. We were in our room at about 10pm but it took us some time to settle in. The band stopped around 11pm so not a big deal.
All in all, this room spoiled us. We usually get rooms comped at MSS and always enjoy staying there. But because of this stay, we will probably end up staying a night in Rush Tower again!

Glad you enjoyed your room. IMHO, Rush Tower rooms at the GN are the best value for a mid budget in all of Las Vegas. You can really get amazing deals on these rooms on Cyber-Monday. :peace::beer:

Thanks Mike! I will try and remember that in November.
