So for my trip leaving Arkansas on the 24th I'll be stopping off in Vegas on the 26th and I decided to stay there for a day, so I grabbed the MyVegas CC Comped Room, and I'm booked for it. But I'm wondering from other's that have stayed there. Are there any good points with staying there other than the $150 savings book?

The steakhouse has a reputation for good food and service.

My first stay in Vegas was at CC. It was ok as I never experienced anything else before. My biggest complaint is that it's so far away from everything, tons of walking to get to the other places.

Circus Circus should be fine for a night. I don't eat steak(no idea why I don't) but all my family and friends tell me the steakhouse at circus circus is awesome. I've never stayed at circus circus vegas but have stayed at circus circus Reno. I imagine they are about the same for the most part.

For a day CC is fine. However as alluded to earlier, it's far from most of the strip action. Be prepared top walk really really really far, or take cabs everywhere, or familiarize yourself with bus routes, rates, schedules etc.. The steakhouse is one of the best I've ever eaten in. Enjoy!

Thanks guys, the only thing that really sucks about this trip is that my bus arrives in Vegas at 2:30 in the morning and Check-in isn't until 11. And I'll probably be beyond tired from my trip so I might end up resting in one of the lobby chairs after I pay the resort fee for the room. I doubt they will let me into the room that early but there's a hope.
Also James you kinda freaked me out for a second with your name, I actually have a friend in AZ that I went to school with ages ago and we still stay in touch so I thought you were him when I first saw the name.

The casino tower was just renovated this year I believe. It's the two short towers that form a T. Very easy access to casino and the excellent steakhouse!!

It is far from the main strip areas, but there are a few things close.
The Peppermill is well loved as an eatery.
The Riviera has inexpensive comedy and some fine old pinball machines. If you buy an American Casino Guide the Riviera has a coupon for two free comedy tickets in that book.
Down the street from the strip at the Clarion is a Sinatra like show that is just wonderful if you like that era of music. Here is my review

Skim down a ways to see the show review.
Tickets are pretty cheap at Goldstar.com. Click on the link to the left here under tickets.
With the American Casino Guide you can start with a couple free drinks at the bar.

In that same area is a little Ethiopian restaurant that is fun if you like downscale hidden places mostly serving locals.

Oh! The MyVegas CC room is the highest room available at Circus Circus--that is the Casino Tower. It was renovated late last year. The furnishings were actually bought from Bellagio apparently (not sure how true this is but I have seen this information on several websites including vegastripping).

I stayed in this room before and for me it is lovely. Very nicely furnished. Comfortable and clean.

The savings book has some free premium rides at the amusement park, some discounts on dining and retail, some freeplay/matchplay.

I love CC Pizzeria! They have usual fast foods like Krispy Kreme and Mcdonalds inside (and nearby). Slots of Fun is connected to CC, so that's more slots to choose from. There's a tix4tonight located inside. I like the Ross, Walgreens, Dennys, 7 eleven, and Peppermill (the lounge area) nearby. The free Riviera comedy show ticket from ACG comes in real handy.

The only HUGE gripe is the long line to get checked in (and the only room I like there is the Casino Tower, but all of the rooms are superb on value being rather large and spacious). It is certainly worth it to try to check in early. If they see you hanging out a bit, it may quicken their pace to get you in.

It has been my experience, that if a room is available, they will let you move in before the "official" check in time. Of course in my case it was mid morning or early afternoon, not 3 am, but it never hurts to ask.

I have stayed at CC twice, my room was clean, comfortable and safe. I didn't find the area remote since one year my trade sow was t the convention center on Paradise.....about a 5 minute walk. Everything else in LV is so far apart that you end up taking a cab or hopping on a bus anyway. I always buy a bus pass so hop on for a stop or two to save steps...you walk A LOT in LV whether you intend to or not! The buffet was ok and I thought the convenient store was handy though now there is a Walgreens as well. You will be fine for a night.
