Loved it! I was having doubts but I think for the winning I will stay with Downtown Grand and skip the Strip.
The noise on the 21st floor was not a problem for the most part. There was a time or two that I could hear the noise but I just turned on my little fan that I take with me when I travel and quickly fell asleep. I did hear a guest today ask for a different room because of the noise and they quickly accommodated him.
I played Big Bang Theory and won 980.00 on a 4.00 bet! I also had other wins but of course quickly lost those. I wont 75.00 on a Match Play at The D. I also won 72.00 on Farmers Daughter at maybe the Bellagio.
For food a lot of our meals were at Magnolias at 4 Queens - I loved the service and the food!

We visited the pool at Downtown Grand and it was very nice as was the guacamole appetizer we had.

I am ready to go back!

My sister and I stayed there last August for the first time....absolutely loved everything about it. The pool, staff, rooms, etc. Hope they are able to get back on track and get some sort of customer base going.

Downtown Grand is great. It's honestly my favorite place to stay downtown at any price. I really hope things pick up for them and they stay in business.

As far as places to play goes it's probably ranked 3rd which still ain't bad.

Well, now that I'm on their "radar", I finally got a two-night offer from them + some free-play... too late for this upcoming trip, but I'll likely stay there for my trip after this one.

Seems like forever from now, but the flights are booked, so it counts!

We just stayed two nights this past week too and loved it! The pool area was attractive. We were on the 19th floor of the Grand Tower and were not bothered by noise at night. There was free good coffee downstairs. The place is interesting with lots of artwork, chandeliers, and places to sit. The casino was not too smoky. Location was great. We will stay again!

Glad to hear. I'm heading downtown one day on my upcoming trip to do a LVA coupon run and try Pizza Rock. I'm looking forward to enjoying some $5 craps there.

I am a big fan of the DTG even if they never send me offers =( I like the rooms and the pool is fantastic. We were there a few weeks ago and the pool wasn't too busy which is what I like about it.

But only after noon or so. I had an itch for early morning craps but alas I was denied.

I stayed a couple of weeks ago and I think as a hotel, it is really good for Vegas. I plan on staying there with my wife on our annual trips.

I wish there was a little more activity at the casino, although I liked that the high limit area is right off the main floor and about 6-10 machines.

I also would like them to make the pool open a little earlier than 9am in the summer. Maybe they could just say "no music until 9 am" but open it at 8.
