At MGM for one night and didn't really play much here. Wound up across the street and played for about 6 hours. Will they consider that play towards taking charges off the bill or does the play have to be at MGM?

MGM will not comp stuff based on your play at NYNY

That's what I thought just thought I'd check. I'm not a huge fan of MGM... Too big for me and takes forever to get somewhere in here. Decided to come in a day early and MGM was the only available free room through MyVegas and didn't want to pay to stay anywhere. Got a tease offer from V/P so staying there for the rest of the weekend for the first time.

Too big and takes forever to navigate in MGM, so you decide to walk even further to play? I often have to play elsewhere when I stay at MGM, but mostly because they only have one UTH table and it is usually full when I want to play. I like the rooms and casino there, but it is annoying not being able to get into your game of choice.

When I first stayed at MGM I found it to be too big and overwhelming...but after a trip or two I know the casino like the back of my hand...so weird how it works like that.

I get lost heading home from work sometimes...but ask me where a particular slot or table is located on the casino floor and I got you covered...

SoCalTrucker - Sounds very good that you received a weekend offer from V/P. Do you mind describing a little bit your play that generated the offer?

I've only played at Venetian once before back in October. Stopped in to eat and wound up playing $25 blackjack for about 3-4 hours. I found it odd that I had received something but took them up on it. Figured it to be a marketing teaser.

I'm not a big fan of these mega resorts. We usually stay at NYNY in order to wander the strip and play mostly downtown at lower limits.

I don't really ever get comp'd rooms so we pay going rate. Trust me if I was paying for rooms there's no way we'd have stayed at MGM or Venetian but hell you can't turn down free.

Thanks and enjoy the V/P when you stay there.

We used to do this and they eventually cut us off so to say.
Switched to CET which provides some flexibility.
