I play a lot of VP. While I haven't given a lot of play at station casinos, I have yet to get ANY offers from them. I usually rent a car. I'm also aware they cater to locals.
I'm seriously thinking of staying a couple of nights in April but if there's no chance of future offers, I can stay cheap elsewhere and still play there a bit. Thinking of a stay at Boulder Station or SunSet Station. SOOOO...has any Canadians here play at Stations places and get room offers??
    Thanks,
    Tim

Stations marketing group is terrible and they have a real bad set up. They are really focused on the local market and do not do a good job on marketing to outside the Las Vegas area. I have been Chairman card holder for years and the most they send me is $200 FP - They are set up for Host interactions mostly and do not spend much on Casino Marketing (FP - Buy in Tourny - Special events). I would call and ask to speak to a host. Once you have a good host in their system you can just call them and they will start taking care of you. I hope that makes sense. good luck!

when I say terrible - I was referring to the marketing team and the way they handle out of town players

I've made several trips to both Red Rock and Boulder Station the last few years. They liked to no offer me until recently when I got an any time 3 night comp mailer for Red Rock that can be used multiple times... It's strange because my play there has been pretty consistent.

Interesting, wonder if you or OP called a host if that may help or not?

I get free room offers every year but with a catch. If you don't put X amount of points on your card during a 6 month period then you go to Casino rate which is any where from $49-$69 a night. I'm not a local and play penny slots, .25 Video Poker and Sports book. So as an example I am going in March and will need to go again between June and December for free rooms. Sorry I do not recall how many points I needed to start the offers.

In addition you can use your points to pay for their Buffet and restaurants without hurting your comp offers.

Thanks to all who've replied so far. Wanker751, I'm the OP and I must admit I haven't tried the host route. I already get offers from M Life, Total Rewards and from Boyd. I don't want to "spread myself too thin". Rooms are what is more important. Total rewards are most generous BUT their slots are VERY tight it seems. Don't mind venturing off the strip as I've been to LV over 30 times. My friend who is travelling with me on the next trip will be an Umpire at a baseball tournament and they are putting him up at Arizona Charlies (Yikes lol). I'm kind of leaning towards Sams town.

We get regular offers, but the trouble with Station offers is that they list them in your account online on the web site, then say "See your mailer for more details." Then you don't get the mailer for another month or two, so you don't know what the offer is for.

They also "assign" you to one casino, and send you offers only for that casino, even though you might prefer another (for example, you get only GVR offers, but you like RR better). So you have to call. I want NO HASSLES, and Stations have the most.

The other problem is that you may have a host, but a few months later when you try to contact him/her, they are GONE.

We have pretty much given up on Stations, now focus on Boyd and CET.

I am an local (well, only 4 hours flight away) and do get offers from all station casinos.
But I generally agree with what bcc said above: too many hassles with their offers, not worth the effort to figure them out.

This cracked me up! Doesn't a 4 hour flight cover almost all of the lower 48 states? I am from Michigan (about 4hr flight from DTW) and will need to see about getting some of the locals discounts when I am out next week! LOL
