Ok hockey fans, I will be in Vegas for games 5 and 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals and am hoping to see the Sharks bring home the Cup. Anyone know of any good hockey viewing areas on the Strip (does not necessarily have to be a sports book)? We will primarily be at CET properties.

If you plan to play bartops with the best VP paytables for all CET bars or e-table games, and drinking good craft beer for "free" at the place, it's gotta be my 2nd home, TAG Lounge at Linq. The TVs won't be that big, but you'll be within 10 feet from them, so that's not that big of a deal. And they usually put audio on for the biggest game of the night, which should be the Stanley Cup Finals. I think they have an agreement with the NBA not to overlap the finals games.

If you want bigger TVs and not worried about "free drinks", I would consider CP sportsbook or PHo Sporting Lounge. But if you aren't gambling at all, Venetian, Cosmo, and Mirage are good options too.

TAG would be my choice of the CET options, if you plan to be playing while watching.

To the sportsbook options previously mentioned, I'd add Lagasse's Stadium as an option (although non CET), if you're looking for food while watching. They have a nice setup, with stadium style seating, which is great if you have a group.

If you're looking to watch and eat/drink, any sports bar with a lot of TVs, you'll likely be able to watch. Although if it conflicts with the NBA finals, you may be limited. These are a few of my favorites (some CET, some MLife):

Blondie's (PH) - they have some great HH specials
Yardhouse - more limited on the # of TVs, but a great place
TAP (MGM) - not CET, but they have walls of TVs. Great food and beer selection. Watched some of the UFC undercard fights there last summer. Ended up going there several times over the week.

    Go Sharks!

Burger Brasserie, it's located in the indoor walkway between Paris and Ballys. Great spot to watch the game along with some good burgers. Go Pens.

Thanks everyone. I had already planned to spend a lot of time at Tag anyway this trip, so it looks like that will be my spot.

If you head downtown at all, stop by the D and ask if host Darren Banks is there. Big tough guy, played about 15 games for the Bruins in mid 90s. Has lots of stories about fighting the tough guys. Meets up with alot of the current players when they're in town.
