    Hello everyone....

looking for recommendations for comedy shows on the Strip. Already have planned Carrot Top and Vinny F. would not leave Vegas without seeing those two. :nworthy::thumbsup:

Last time I saw Sin City Comedy is was ok. 1 comedian was somewhat good the other two were not.

I hear Ballys and Harrahs have standup comedy.

I know the comedians are always changing so one week can be great and the next not so good. I heard Harrahs most of the time has excellent comedians.

    Thank you all!!

Carrot Top and Vinnie are the best, so you've already got that down.

I've been to the Laugh Factory at Tropicana and had a good time. I'm going again next trip as well. You can get on their website in advance and see who they have scheduled for your dates. Sometimes they have well known people swing through.

The Brad Garrett comedy club at the MGM also has some well known comedians perform there. Also check their schedule as well for your dates.

    Good luck!

The Improv at Harrahs was one of the worst shows I have seen in Vegas. I would try the BG Comedy Club

I really like Riviera Comedy club. It's affordable, and the comedians they book there are pretty good at playing off the crowd.

Don't forget that the American Casino Guide has 2 free tickets to this comedy spot. Using them pays for the book.
I have a personal dislike of Sin City. They have overpriced drinks that are mandatory at times and tacked on the free tickets they hand out or even the decent deals. It is always a hassle. The last time I was there I had red wine and I could not drink it. It is the worst red wine I've had in Vegas and served in a small cup. Riviera had decent red wine. I'm not fussy. If you buy a deal from Sin City, read the fine print.

If you like to eat food and drink beer before seeing stand up comedy, this deal may be as good or better than the ACG coupon Dewey mentioned:
    Choose Between Two Options

$25 for a pub-food and comedy package for two ($85.83 value)
$47 for a pub-food and comedy package for four ($171.66 value)

For each pair, the package includes:

Three starters from the menu (up to $9.95 value each)
Two draft or bottled beers (up to $8 value each; not including specialty beers)
Two tix to any show at the Riviera Comedy Club ($19.99 value each)

Ballys comedy club was pretty good the comedians are standing infront of giant windows that has a cool view of the strip. Harrahs improv was good got to see todd glass when I went there a few years back and riviera comedy club was pretty good as well, Eddie Griffin at the Rio was hilarious

Any recommendations on Laugh Factory vs Brad Garrett's? I love stand-up as well but we'll be seeing Jay Leno while he's in Vegas for one night so probably only want to do one more comedy show.

I've been to Sin City Comedy at Planet Hollywood several times using the $15 ticket through Groupon or Living Social that comes with a free drink. It's well worth it (although the burlesque is stupid, but I'm a 52 year old woman). Of course, with ANY stand up comedy club you're going to get good and bad, but so far, I haven't had any really bad experiences. I've always enjoyed myself and got a lot of good laughs.

I've been to the Improv at Harrah's numerous times over the years and have always had a good time. Again, as with any stand up comedy club it will vary as far as funny comedians go, but isn't comedy subjective anyway?!

I've been to Laugh Factory at Tropicana three times in the last 10 months and have always had a good time there, too.

Will be going for the first time to Brad Garrett's comedy club next month when Brad is not performing (saw him at the Mirage years ago -- he's kind of a mean comedian, like Vinnie Favorito, but not as funny as Vinnie).
