    No movement.

I had a room at TI facing it for the last week of April. It is wrapped in a look-alike shroud just as it was last year at the same time.

It was to be a condominium tower, a residency. What was thought by many of the gaming companies on the strip to be the next big things before the hit of the recession.

Just recently Sands got a two-year extension to allow the project to sit still until 2015. After that it is believed that is when they have to restart construction or back out and lose their permit... I guess. Or file for another extension... I guess.

I hope by then they do something with it. With new life being pumped on the north strip (Resorts World) maybe Sands will go back to their plans.

I think their best option would be to convert it from a condo tower to a fourth Venetian/Venezia/Palazzo/ hotel tower when the occupancy rates get high enough to warrant more high end rooms.

Or some restaurants and/or nightclubs. It probably has a decent view. I guess they might have started sooner but Shelly just lost about $70mil.
