Doing Fremont street again for St. Pats. Was a blast the last time. Street bands, vendors, drinks stands and specials at all bars in all casinos. You can do your own club craw if you want. I like to go into every establishment on Fremont and by then ready to call it a night ( or morning).

Anyone else going to do Fremont for st pats?

    St pats

That's great. Not that I would be by myself on Fremont st but the more the merrier for that celebration. The first time I ever went to Fremont I wondered if it was safe for a female. Ha! Mostly likely one of the safest and fun places in Vegas.

In 2007 I won a contest posted on this website for St Patricks Day weekend trip. Between March Madness And St. Pats day it is a fantasic time to be in vegas. And the spring weather was perfect!

I'll be there, too and do plan to spend St. Patrick's day downtown, doing a casino/drinking crawl. :)

I'm in for St Patrick's Day again this year (6th in a row) and will likely check out Fremont street this time since O'Shea's is gone.

    On a Sunday

St Pats day on a Sunday this year but Fremont Street should still be in full swing. 66 days until the big party. Well actually every day in Vegas is a big party but St Pats is a little extra especially downtown.

What's everyone's favorite thing to do do on Fremont street? Mine is going from place to place until I run out of gas. Try to hit them all in one night.

I'll be there. it can get very crowded on the street later in the day/evening/night.
that means higher drinks prices and lines to get drinks - even though they set up extra bars.

I've spent time drinking at MSS where beer is good - and cheap - then hit the street for a crawl. it took too long to get alcohol so we ended up hitting the ABC for rum and coke and pouring extra strong drinks for ourselves.

great idea. saved loads of time and money. bad head the next day though!!

Well we certainly know how to do St. Paddy's day on the emerald isle so I'm hoping for similar when i cross the pond.

This is an interesting thread because I would have assumed NYNY was going to be the place to be? Am I wrong? I just thought it would be having the biggest irish connection not that you need that to celebrate it:rolleyes2:

    Freemont sounds good too tbh...........

    I'm torn here:confused2:

Opinions on the strip V Freemont for that particular Sunday?

has anyone done the strip & freemont on Paddy's day and might offer a comparison.

    Thanks.

    Strip VS downtown

I did not see a huge difference on the strip from the day before on on St pats day. But downtown was much more lively. More people than normal and more stuff going on.

not do the strip for that day but I know that NFI at NYNY gets very crowded.
So does fremont but fremont have more space, a couple of stages for live music and the occasional fiddler playing etc.
whats the price of a pint at NFI? 7,8 bucks? go to the bar at MSS and its $2 for their microbrew... bit more expensive at the bars on fremont but still way cheaper than the strip.

you may be irish but everyone will be your countryman that day!
