Received a call and email from a Sr. Account Executive from CET last week. Just wondering if I bother booking next trip w this person or using the offers I receive from total rewards already. I currently get comp rooms and small amount of freeplay, but never had a host. Is a "Sr. Account Executive" just someone who takes reservations? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

The word executive means something in MGM, but no idea with CET.

A bunch of us on here have been getting calls with them, they seem to be catering to those of us that are on their radar but not to the extent to justify the services of a host. I didn't have the best experience with mine. He offered me Super Bowl Party tickets and then said that there was a policy change and he now couldn't give them to be once I booked the room. He offered me some freeplay and COMP rooms, but it was less than what I was getting online just going through the Total Rewards site.

If you give it a try let us know how it works out for you. I have not given them a second try. I booked a room a couple weeks ago and then noticed a free play offer that I had overlooked and just called the regular number and had it added no problem.

Just exchanged a few emails w him and appears that all he wants to do is book the offer I already have. Seems to be a waste of my time as I can do that myself w TR app on my Iphone.

Pretty much my experience. He would just "Just give me a call and I will book your travel for you and check your offers." I tried it and it was a waste of time. I am just a VP guy, so free rooms and a bit of free play here and there are all I want or expect.

It sounds like a CET inside salesperson. They are assigned to players who are just below the level for being assigned a host.

Think of them as a "phone host". Yea, they can book stuff for you, sometimes a little sleight of hand to get offers together (you and spouse), maybe get you bumped up in room. But after that....

Yeah I explained it a little better in my post before the one you quoted. That is basically all they are is salespeople.

Sounds like someone who wants to get credit for booking things for you that you can do on your own without their help. In other words, a waste.

Thanks for the responses. Pretty much what I thought, I told him if all he is doing is booking my reservation with the offers I already have I can handle it myself. Just got airline taken care of for May trip so need to figure out where to stay. Usually Harrahs (based on location) , so may check out the rooms at the Linq. Really like the location and casino vibe.

Casino Sales Executive was the title I am familiar with. These guys work below the executive host level, and are there to give you the perceived value of a host.
True to what the other posters in this thread have said, they can't really do a whole lot more offer wise than what is in your TR Marketing, although I have been able to
get one or two higher tier rooms. Example bumped from a PHo Resort Room to a Strip Suite, or bumped from Caesars Forum King to Augustus Tower.

One thing they can do for you, is handle some concierge services. Example on a trip a couple of years ago, I booked my offer thru Sales Executive, since I also wanted to
get non comp show tickets to Elton John and dinner reservations. He was able to get me very good seats, and preferred dinner reservations working the phones with his contacts, which I couldn't have gotten myself.

So from a coordination factor, they are kinda like a CET travel agent who can make things easier. The flip of course, they get some type of credit on your rated play with their goal of driving player development (spend and gaming loss).
    YMMV...
