Is it worth the time and money to go through this? I am one of the kinds of people that go to Vegas for more than gambling- I love the area and love sight seeing there. I live in the flat plains area, so the mountains to me are gorgeous, and I appreciate the desert.

This is something i would love to see in Oct, but without a car it might be hard to get to from DT. I would take the bus but would probably end up out of town..LOL

It looks like there are a couple of bus options. I've thought of going but it seems a little too kid centric. I may be a kid at heart but not so interested in being surrounded by them.

Yikes! The Spring Reserve lists frogs, lizards, cottontails, foxes, gophers, ants, and Gila monsters on their website, but no mention of desert tortoises. What's up with that?

Turtleman, you've got to go to the Honolulu and Phoenix, or Tampa zoos to see those.

Both had great displays, but not a lot of movement! :evillaugh

Joe: Thanks for posting the great turtle pics – they made my day. (It doesn't take much, does it?)

It has been on my to do list for the last couple of years. Am going to try and do it this trip. Last trip I finally knocked off the Atomic Testing Museum. It was pretty cool, but I wouldn't go back.
