Is it reasonable to expect to see a cfl game in a sports book in vegas? Does anyone know of a place where I could watch it?

    Thanks

Usually I'd laugh and tell you YA RIGHT, but I actually noticed a few CFL games on tv in both bars and sportsbooks when I was there last October. Couldn't get a hockey game on the tv, but the CFL was very visible Confusing!

I think the NFL Network started showing some games last year so those were likely the ones the put on some of the TVs. The few times I wated to see a CFL game out there it wasn't shown but those weren't games on the NFL Network.

CFL US broadcast rights for this year haven't been determined yet. Last year it was split between ESPN2 and NBCSN. I have a feeling NBCSN will renew the commitment. They are making a niche for sports outside of the US's biggest three.

The finals were playing on several TV in the Pub at Monte Carlo. Don't know if they're CFL bar or it was just because there was a table full of Roughrider fans.

NFL Network must have carried the games a few years ago

Probably because it was the Grey Cup slash they asked to put it on tv. If a game is broadcast on that Friday on one of the major sports networks in the US, he shouldn't have trouble getting a sportsbook to put it on at least one tv. But unfortunately, the US broadcast schedule is still TBD. It needs to be announced pretty soon though, the season has almost begun.

Yeah, they did for awhile. I'm sure they'll take whoever bids the most. :evillaugh

I have no idea about the US broadcasting rights, but in the past I've watched games at Luxor and Harrah's.

If the game you want to watch isn't being shown when you walk in, CFL or otherwise, you can always just try asking them to put it on.

So you mean I could go into most sportsbooks, bet a hundred and ask them to turn the game on? Cfl?

Yeah, sure. Now if they think all the other games are requested to be on slash more important, they might say no. But the night you're asking about, all you're fighting against is baseball and some nfl preseason. I doubt anyone will object. The most important thing is if a US network will be carrying a game that night. If they don't then you'll be out of luck at most sportsbooks I'd think.
