Are there any comps for sports betters and are they similar to table games or how do they configure them?

    Not really.

Wynn and CET give very small comps for sports betting. So you can give them your card, but it is not going to get you much at all.

MGM will only give you comps for horse racing, not sports.

I know Cantor gaming does not provide comps for sports, but don't know what they do with regard to horses (my guess is that they don't provide anything, since they aren't a direct arm of the casino, but more of an independent service provider).

Really, the only thing I ever consider to be a comp for sports betting is when I get drink tickets.

I asked a Cantor clerk why they dont have some deal where they at least can give a drink ticket? He told me they dont give anything more than the slip!!

Anymore its tough to even get a drink out of the book!

    plaza

At the plaza gave us drink tickets for betting sports this January. We bet 50 a game and they gave us 1 or 2. They also gave tickets for horse racing too. The sports book is run by a independent company that rents the space from the plaza.

If you sign up for a card from the book, each bet is then placed on your card so that if you would lose your ticket they have a record of it and then they could pay you if needed. Not sure if I like that but thought it was interesting.

You want get much in the way of reward points or whatever, but, if you tip well, you should have no problem receiving drink tickets.

My best example of this: during CFB season, I went up to make a few bets ranging from $25-$100. Total was around $500. I tipped the guy behind the desk a $20 and asked for some drink tickets. He literally gave me the entire book of tickets. Must have been 50+ tickets in there. This was at Bally's.

Tip, be friendly and ask nicely for drink tickets and they shall be yours.

About 3 years ago I was firing it up at the Sports book NYNY, Vinnie Da Man, who was their like spokesperson/hypeman/whatever came by. We chatted a bit and he gave me his card, invited us to a party that night and said let me know when I was coming back into town and he would take care of my room.

I never followed up on any of it, we had plans that night and I have never stayed at NYNY again. I am not sure what even happened to him. Havent seen him in any of their ads for awhile.

I was about to post this same question! I was at Aria for the Super Bowl and lost pretty bad. My host told me she couldn't take care of my f&b because I didn't play enough. She didn't have record of the big sum I lost in the sports book! Lol

Yeah, the hosts don't even see that. You will notice that the win/loss statements from MGM only include table games and slots (no sports or poker)

Have heard and seen the same thing with Cantor, though about a year ago, someone mistakenly put $5,000 in my account. I called to report it and the Supervisor thanked me and told me to ask for him next time I was in town. He said he'd like to comp me dinner.

I did and he whipped out a little booklet and asked me where I'd like to eat. He immediately wrote the comp for dinner for two-(2). It was obvious it wasn't the first time the booklet had been used and he knew exactly how to use it...

My guess would be there's just not that much there for the house to comp unless one is betting big money. I would imagine horse bettors may have a better chance at book comps.

I have never had a problem getting drink tickets. I am a 50.00-100 per bet bettor. Its funny though, If I go up and make 3-5 bets totaling 200-400 I get 1 drink ticket. If I make one 50.00 bet, I get 1 drink ticket. The only 3 places I made regular wagers out though while in town is Planet Hollywood, mgm, and ballys. I have made bets at flamingo also during march madness but a drink girl just came around and gave us free drinks. I was with a group and we all tipped well. We hadn't even put a bet in yet, we were just discussing what we liked and sitting in the book. She came 3 times in a half hour. I have not been back and don't know if this is something that usually happens, but I figured it was just a march madness thing. I have never asked and not been given a drink ticket also.
