Staying on the strip the last weekend of september and would like to get some recommendations of sportsbars that are close to watch college football and have drinks and food. Not opposed to catching a cab for resonably priced food and drinks with good viewing. No plans to head downtown just keeping it low key for our first day there, Saturday. Going to be there four days so we have plenty of time to get out of hand.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Lagasse's Stadium at Palazzo is a high end sports bar right on the strip. You may want something more of a "normal" sports bar. But it is very nice.

Blondies in the Miracle Mile mall (PH). Good atmosphere with decent prices for food and drink.

I will agree on Blondie's, good atmosphere and decent prices (for a Strip restaurant).

There are TONS of bars on the strip playing college football. Including every single sports book at every single casino on the strip. Drinks only at the sports books but most have food a short hop away. Narrowing down your location on the strip would be better. And a budget.

If you end up at Lagasse's Stadium, there's most likely a minimum spend per game per person and reservations required. Last I checked it was between $50-75. You'd have to call to ask though. That might just be if you've reserved something. Best place to watch sports though, IMO.

Another vote for Blondies. Good food, cute waitresses in cheerleader outfits and a nice set up of display screens. The place has a good vibe.

Jeez... I can't believe people like Blondies. From what I remember, it blows. Maybe I need to go back in there but all I remember thinking is it sucked when I was there. And, I'm a serious barfly that goes to a lot of bars. And, that's not trashing on anyone's opinion... that's just confusing to me since I didn't like it the one time I've been but it gets loads of love like no other around here.

I have never been to the one in Vegas, but Twin Peaks right above the entrance to the Miracle Mile Shops at PH is an awesome bar. If you like beer... they have the coldest beer in town, bar none. Ice chips floating in your beer. The waitresses are dressed in sexy school girl outfits. It'll make you feel guilty staring at them.

Staying at monte carlos. planning to put money down when we get there then head off the strip for a more local vibe and better pricing for drinks and food since just watching games. I have been to blondies before and not bad and we may wind up there but was thinking of a cab ride somewhere so we can come back to the strip later that night and shut the place down. i will have to look into the bjs place and we will probably be in the sports book on sunday for football.

Blondies is nice and I have to agree with Twin Peaks as well and when I went there in May the waitress's were dressed in bikinis one night, there's also a sports bar in MGM where the lion enclosure used to be, it has a good variety of beer and tv screens all over the place and also serves food.
