Anyone been to the spa at the Golden Nugget? How does it compare to spas on the strip?
My wife has an appointment Thursday. I'll see what she thinks. I have no personal knowledge.
Compared to the big spas on the strip (Caesars, Aria, Wynn, V/P), it's very small. It's perfectly adequate but if you've been to the others, you will tell a definite difference. Where you can spend several hours lounging and exploring those big spas, this is more oriented to receiving your service and being on your way. The decor is very 1980s grandma's house, and its a pretty brightly lit spa compared to the strip's spas.
Small - but has got all the essentials. Hot tub, sauna, steam room. Very clean.
Lots of space to do your hair/make up in the powder room area. They supply all the same little extras as the bigger spas (razors, combs, sprays, etc).
You can also make reservations online via the GN website.
I've had better facials and massages here than either the Wynn or Encore spas - and it's a lot cheaper.
Anyone how much it costs to use the gym? The GN website does not say. Thanks....
If I'm not mistaken, it used to be $20 a day or 3 days for about $35. If you stay in a Gold Club room, you get daily use of the spa as part of your room amenities.
Was just there 2 weeks ago. $20 a day to use the gym... ITS SMALL! seperate cardio (6 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and maybe 2 bikes) and weights rooms. Both are very crowded with equipment. We were in the weight room at 6:30am I can imagine being in there after it got busy, you would be tripping over people.
We were in a Gold Club room, but they still made me charge fees to the room, then have them take it off at checkout.
Rest of the Spa is very nice, very cool hot tub area in each locker room, but small compared to anything on the strip. Hair and Makeup stations are just right off the main waiting room.
Thanks for the info gang. Much appreciated.
